While listening to the CD I wanted to find some information about the band and was so shocked by the negative review here that I have decided to write this.

This really is NOT anything like Green Day and it is neither "teeny-bopper" nor "bubblegum".

Try to imagine Spiritualised and The Jesus and Mary Chain playing indie folk music.

I'm sure it will sound great for driving across their native Scotland to, from quiet fishing villages to rolling highland.

Oh and yes there are some sliding steel guitars.

The vocals on this album are so far from green day, I'm inclined to think that the negative review was meant as a joke... either that or about a different band? Either way, I'd characterize this album as extremely mellow and immensely enjoyable, integrating elements of folk with post rock and a rather alt-country feel at times. It takes a few listens to fully appreciate this album, but that's true of all great music.

I was led here by some circuitous route online, looking for a band with Jerry Garcia-like trippy steel guitar (noone does it like he did I guess?).

Anyways, I may be an overcritical SOB, but this band has a common defect....the music seems OK, but the SINGER is so farging teeny-bopper whiny and derivative in a downright Green Day bubblegum fashion that I cannot cope!
