I cracked my computer screen on a vacation and was going to buy a new computer until I realized how easy it was to replace the screen! And this is a really good price! I fixed it all by myself (except for the help from my boyfriend...okay, a lot of help from my boyfriend) and now it's like it's brand new (except it's like 4 years old).
Good deal, even if you don't have any mechanical/fixing stuff skills.

I cracked the LCD screen on my HP Pavilion laptop and had a few options. Do I buy a new laptop? Do I send the laptop out to a computer repair business? Or should I buy this screen and take a chance? The laptop repair companies were charging $250+ to fix it - for that price, it would be worth it to buy a new laptop, since they only cost about $400-$600 for a good one nowadays. But for $100 ($89 at the time) I could buy this - it was worth the risk to at least give it a shot.

Well, lets put it this way. The screen is perfect - it seems even more vibrant than the original, probably because its brand new. The only downside is that it does take some pretty strong technical expertise. My particular model laptop required us to remove EVERY component - hard drive, battery, front, back, keyboard!, even the wireless module and antenna inside the computer! All of this was necessary to get to various screws and latches that allowed us to separate the screen from the bottom part of the laptop and get to the cracked LCD.

All in all it took about 4 hours for me and two buddies to take apart, install the new LCD, and put it back together. HP provides replacement instructions on their website. Works perfectly and looks like a brand new laptop.

You just need small screwdrivers and some technical knowledge. And the guts to trust yourself. In my case, it was well worth the risk.

This screen fit perfectly and was easy to install. Once I fired up the laptop the screen lit up and appears as if it was the original. Great purchase very happy!

I followed all procedures and the screen appears with a line-in-color exactly in the middle of the screen!!!

I spent more than 80$ in this screen for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered this product as a replacement for our family's laptop screen that was inadvertently broken. With all the different types and technology differences, I was nervious about ordering something like this online. I searched by my computers model name and this product was on the list. It shipped quickly and well packaged for protection. I installed the new screen in about 20 minutes. It works great and was a perfect fit...even the mount holes lined up perfectly; so I didn't have to modify anything.

My laptop screen case is held together with 6 tiny screws, which once removed allowed me to "pop" open the case...exposing the screen. The screen in held in place with an additional 6 tiny screws to a metal bracket designed to support the weight of the screen while allowing the screen to obviously tilt forward and aft. The screen is plug and play with the power cord and 30 pin connector.

Bottom Line: It was a simple and inexpensive way to fix my laptop, without either buying a new one or paying to have someone do it.

The item arrived in time and in good conditions. It requires a lot of work and experience if you want to change it by your self and above all patience! But it works perfectly! Just like the original one!

This LCD is the cheapest on Amazon and It fixed my HP DV4's screen issue! It came WELL packaged too.

This screen came in great time. I installed it and it works perfectly! There is one pixel that is off but it is so small, you'd never be able to notice it. This saved me hundreds of dollars and I couldn't be happier with the results.
