Best Album EVER,
This review is from: Brightblur (Audio CD)
I like lots of Christian music that nobody has ever heard of, but Massivivid has to be my favorite. This first album, Brightblur, has it all. They lyrics are outstanding. They're not watered down, they say what needs to be said. Musically, this album is amazing. The first songs get crammed in your head until you forget everything else exists. This first set of songs climaxes with an emotionaly ravenging tune called Epitome, moves on through to the tongue-twisting Crop Circles then segways out to the next set with the odd, screaming Deep Heaven. Now we have arrived at tracks 10, 11 and 12 and it is just unbelievable the way the three songs build and build and build. They are the pinnacle of rock ballads; mellow yet startling. I cannot even describe the emotion and physical compulsion these songs bring. From there, it lightens up and finishes off with a couple remixes and even some down right hilarious studio blurbs. This is a MUST buy for any music lover; Christian or otherwise.

Brightblur - Masivivid,
This review is from: Brightblur (Audio CD)
This is one of the best Christian albums that i have ever listened to, and own. It addresses the realities of life while not super-spiritulizing. I recomend this to everyone, even if you don't like alternative or rock, it's worth buying, just for the lyrics.

I got this from a friend several years ago, but i'd never heard of this band before. It was sitting on my shelf for probably 2 years before i even unwrapped it. When i finally decided to give it a listen, i was amazed. This is great music with a good message. Even my non-christian friends like this cd. Massivivid finally has a new cd out called "Dressed to the Nines...Armed to the Teeth." I know you can buy it at their website:...

Incredible!,

Massivid's music is for ANYONE who can appreciate the mixture of techno and rock; anyone who can't tolerate having a few guitar solos admidst synthesized loops should be warned. I personally think that this band...ROCKS!But...Jeremy Kershaw, if the music isn't what you'd call "religious", what are they? Were you expecting "Amazing Grace" Redux? Your misconception of Christian music disturbs me; there is a LOT of Christian music out there that sounds this good: You can tell that Massivid believes in God, and if it bothers anyone that they show it in their lyrics, then...sorry for you. I reccomend this CD to anyone, and if you're disappointed by the lyrical content, then I suggets you stay away from P.O.D., Project 86, Joy Electric, Chevelle, and Living Sacrifice. Cause, uh...they're kind "religious" too.

Fabulous Techno/Industrial!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Brightblur (Audio CD)
I've been a long-time industrial/techno/trance fan and have grown up listening to Front 242, Frontline Assembly, NIN, Skinny Puppy, etc... one day a friend of mine popped a CD in and it was some of the best music I've ever heard.. when he told me it was a Christian band I was totally blown away.. it doesn't really matter what they are the music is very, very good. Very danceable and great lyrics either way.. (and no, I'm not religious) .. Bottom line is get this CD no matter what you like - you won't be disappointed!

Simply put, the best industrial Christian metal rock album,
By Jered Love (Alaska) - See all my reviews

I highly recommend this group! This band is so underrated. THey deserve more attention then they currently get. Being one of the few Industrial/metal/dark techno/Christian groups out there they have a finely produced debut album. Their lyrics are most definentally Christian and very deep and fun to listen to. All their songs are perfect and a joy to listen to with the exception of "Unmade" which doesn't fit in with the rest of the album. Another high plus about it is that it has three hidden songs added to the already beautiful ear candy. FInely crafted metal/industrial/christian stuff. It's hard to label them and they call themselves Post Nuclear Industrial Rock. THe best thing about them is that they are Christian because there are hardly any bands that are Christian that explore the Indutrial rock scene. I'd give it 11 out of 10 stars

Trent Reznor can keep feeling sorry for himself...,
By Internet Guru "neoscion" (Raleigh, NC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Brightblur (Audio CD)
This band rocks the house. Though one may be tempted to think that this is a NIN wanna be group, that isn't true. After listening to NIN for years, I can say that this band has similarities, but it is much different in it's "feel" and especially in their lyrics. While Trent continues his "downward spiral into hell", these guys are rockin' into a more hopeful glympse of truth and reality of knowing and living for G-d, as opposed to hatred of G-d and perversion of reality in a twisted state of self-worship. Overall I'm sick of hearing Reznor's whining... we all have pain, and I sympathize, but Reznor enjoys the pain so he can whine about it and make $$$ off it. But do I need to say anything else about NIN... I'll listen to my Massivivid CD instead, thank you.

I am a young Christian who loves heavy music, from punk to rap to techno. Being a lover of Christ isn't just gospel and praise music, it's also in-your-face! This is my favorite cd. It's worn out and I need a new one.

I ordered thi cd from a Christian catolog only because they were a supposed ala-nine-inch-nails. i began to fear they were just a rip off band, and i would never listen to this disc. once i received massivivid i was suprised to find that now only where they NOT a rip off, but their music was great. Even though i am into a little harder music, and believe that this album would be just that much better if the guitars and bass would have been turned up more, the songs are beautiful and great works of art. possibly if the music was too heavy and loud, it would take away from the message of love and peace in every song. i love this cd, and though i take breaks from it, i always come back to massivivid. and is how got here, i was searching for more work by this band, and am sad now that i cannot find any. if anyone knows of anymore work by this band, would you please inform me on how i may find it.
