5.0 out of 5 stars Curtis does it again - and he answers his own email !, January 17, 2001
This review is from: Brighter Days (Audio CD)
An absolute stonker of a cd. (U.S viewres 'stonker' is English for brilliant). As has already been said - 'why isn't he a massive star?' Last time I saw him live was at Wembley Stadium.

Will be seeing him on tour in L'il ole Burgess Hill, Sussex later this year. Hope he is as good as the other reviewers say.

Also if you go to his website and email him, he replies. A top man and great musician.

5.0 out of 5 stars Why isn't Curtis Stigers a household name?, December 25, 1999

Iam truly perplexed as to why Curtis Stigers isn't a star receiving considerably more airplay and fanfare. His three albums rank among my favorites. Furthermore, I had the great pleasure to attend his performance at the Bottom Line in August and was delighted to witness a consummate performer. I can only hope that he receives the notariety so long overdue.

By the way, check out his duet with Julia Fordham on her most recent greatest hits package.

Curtis, keep up the great work. Your CD's are a constant companion of mine through good and bad times. In fact, my seven old son, Matthew's favorite song is "New York Is Rockin."

5.0 out of 5 stars As good as it gets!, June 25, 2003
This review is from: Brighter Days (Audio CD)
I've been a listener of Curtis Stigers since his first album, but this one is as good as any pop album that I have ever purchased. I have a wide variety of music in my collection including Curtis's latest Jazz work, which is also great by the way, but this collection just hits every vein. Stand-outs include "Then I Had This Dream", and "The Last Embrace". Curtis is a tremedous talent and I hope he continues to make music this good.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is always in my player..., March 2, 2003
This review is from: Brighter Days (Audio CD)
I bought this cd on its release back in 1999, and it is still a firm favourite, and not only that, everyone I play this to, or who has heard Curtis sing tracks from it live - especially "Don't Go Far" and "End of the Afternoon" just want to know where they can purchase it - it never fails to be a big hit !!

5.0 out of 5 stars Welcome Back Curtis, February 9, 2001

An excellent CD from a Curtis 'brought back from the grave'. This is a complete change from previous work but none the less is well worth listening to. Some brilliant collaborations with well known artists such as Carole King, Phil Brady show how well regarded he is by his peers. Buy the CD NOW and catch the chance to see him on tour. He signs CD covers, flyers bus tickets and you have the chance to chat to him after the show. How many people do this????? A lovely man who doesn't mind you sneaking a kiss on the cheek. Well done Curtis ....you've still got it.

4.0 out of 5 stars change, October 21, 2000

It's seems Curtis took some advice from one of his favourite artists (Sheryl Crow-a change would do you good). After a what seemed like an enternity he's back with another collection of thought provoking songs even though it's on a different level from what we are used to from Curits it is still good none the less, my favourite track has to be "To Be Loved" which in his words is a song about a journey we hav all been through and the there is the haunting last embrace a song about moving on and letting go. This is definitley an album I think fans can identify with.... Well done Curtis on for giving us something in return for being your fans a message that you understand........

Curtis is a class act.He played outside Belfast's City Hall when Bill Clinton came to town and made a lot of new friends here. This album is a progression on his two earlier releases but still unmistakably Curtis. Why this guy is'nt massive beats me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Where is Curtis Stigers?, August 2, 2000

I really enjoy this album, and the other two previous releases from Curtis Stigers. I don't understand why we don't hear more from this very talented artist. His voice is wonderful, and he is awesome at playing the sax. I have never heard anyone perform with as much feeling as Curtis Stigers. I really hope that it is not as long between albums this time.

5.0 out of 5 stars THANK YOU CURTIS, July 31, 1999
This review is from: Brighter Days (Audio CD)
it has been awhile since we have heard from curtis, but this albulm is awesome. It is much different and more in depth about the writer and musician. my favorites are "I had a dream" and "Van said" . I was expecting sounds similar to wonderful previous albulms but this is a fresh approach for curtis. i would reccommend this albulm as well as the other two!!
