The novel is a science fantasy that takes us into the twilight between nuclear war and an attempt to prevent it that goes terribly wrong. But mostly it is a novel about universal love, which lies at the heart of our civilization. - In the wake of a great tragedy desperate rescue missions begin, driven by an unfolding sense of humanity that comes to light as a natural universal love as the utmost is demanded during those missions. The unfolding principle of universal love gradually becomes reflected in the social environment of five families; two Russian; one Canadian, one Japanese, and one American. - As the rescue projects collapse, the story becomes a story of escaping from a poisoned world and from a world of violence driven by hunger. But with it also emerge efforts to uplift our world. The escape takes us across fifteen time zones against a background that is constantly changing, unfolding new challenges, tragedies, and triumphs from the depth of the unfolding spark of universal love. Thus, a New Hope emerges. - The author, Rolf A. F. Witzsche has dedicated this novel to exploring the developmental issues in becoming a richer, more secure, and brighter humanity.
