Lots of information on Brigid,
By Cindy Thomson "Author and Family Historian" (OH, United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Brigid of the Gael: A Complete Collection of Primary Resources (Paperback)
This booklet, although pricey and not professionally produced, is brimming with information on Brigid, both saint and goddess. If you're looking for a good resource, you won't be disappointed.
I found the organization of this booklet (I call it a booklet for lack of a better word; it doesn't resemble a book, but is more like a report you'd put together at Kinkos) a little confusing. However, it is well researched and provides a lot of information from the legends surrounding Brigid to how to weave a St. Brigid's cross, to traditions surrounding the feast of St. Brigid. If you don't mind spending the money, I recommend it. Cindy Thomson, author of Brigid of Ireland. www.brigidofireland.com |
