1.0 out of 5 stars CAUTION
Before you read Wade Cook's book, be sure to read about his bankruptcy in 2004. Just enter his name on Google and you will see more news articles about it than you could find time to read!
It was publicized around here, but people in other parts of the country may not have heard about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Only for those who want to pay less in taxes., March 1, 2001
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
While most of the books by Wade Cook are about building wealth, this one is about preserving it.Wade shows you how to avoid the three financial Goliaths:1) Lawsuits2) Income Taxes3) Death TaxesYou'll read about the six different types of Entities to preserve your wealth and the advantages of a tax free entity. You'll read about section 42 tax credits that allows for up to a 70% tax credit. This book is great for business people and anyone who wants to pay the absolute minimum in taxes and enjoy the maximum protection from lawsuits.I liked the section on CRT's and CRUT's. What a advantage a CRUT has! I can donate something to a charity or church 20-40 years in advance but get up to a 50% tax reduction and recieve income off the investments now and get assets out of my estate.I recommed all of the books by Wade Cook to build wealth and I absolutely recommend this book to help you hang on to your wealth and make yourself Financially Bulletproof.Great book.

By A Customer
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
Brilliant Deductions is one of the top two best books written on [legall] reducing your taxes. The other being Loopholes of the Rich by Robert Kiwosaki. I highly recommend both books if your goal is to reduce taxes and create wealth.

5.0 out of 5 stars My CPA never told me this, April 29, 2002
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
I learned a log time ago that to be financiall successful, you have to be in control. And letting your CPA, Accountant, Tax Advisor make all of your tax decisions for You, is being OUT OF CONTROL.There is so much good information in this book. And it's not just for business people either. If you are paying taxes you need this book. If you got a tax refund this year, you most definitely need this book. And if you are not in business, why not? Even a small home based business or a Network Marketing business qualifies you for enormous tax deductions.Small business and real estate are two of the best tax shelters out there. Not to mention income producers.I didn't know about section 29 tax credits until I read Brilliant Deductions. Nice passive tax credits. While I strongly recommend that you check with your CPA or other tax professional, you need to get involved in the process and tell them what you have. Most tax professionals only fill in the blanks on your tax forms. Many unfortunately, are not entrepeneurs and far too conservative.Read Cook's book Brilliant Deductions and you will feel brilliant as you reduce your taxes to zero as I have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Transfers Tax $$$ into Personal Wealth, May 22, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
I enjoyed three major benefits fromthis book:1) Drastically reduced taxes. Money that was headed to Washington now is building my and my families wealth.2) Estate Creation. I feel comfortable now knowing that when I'm gone, my family will be secure. If all you have is a will, you need this book right now. 3) Protection against lawsuits. By use of the strategies in this book, I have made myself, my company and family "bullet proof"I got more useful information from this book than I ever got from my CPA. Buying Brilliant Deductions is a much better choice than spending $2,000-$3,000 for living trust, estate and tax seminars that go around.Great book. Use it and prosper.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book that is badly needed!, December 5, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
Based one the 1 star reviews, it is obvious that some people are seriouslytax ignorant and totally illiterate about legal tax deductions. This also confirms how badly needed this excellent book by Wade is.Great book, but will only work for the who are teachable.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just one idea saved us thousands this year alone!, March 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
Although I found Mr. Cook's writing style a little hard to follow (he jumps from one idea to the next), this book is well worth a read just to harvest out any ideas that might work for your own situation. His suggestions about incorporating and income-splitting saved my familty at least $4,000 in income taxes this year alone. But, everyone's situation is different and readers need to do their own homework before blindly acting. Take Cook's ideas as just "brainstorming" sessions and then think for yourself. This reader certainly enjoys Wade Cook's "brainstorming" sessions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Exciting and very well written., November 24, 2003
By
This review is from: Brilliant Deductions (Hardcover)
I have seen other books by Wade Cook and wasn't all that impressed. This one really did impress me and is a worthwhile read.

In this book you will learn about Nevada Corporations, income splitting and more. Cook also writes in an easy to read style and makes the information jump to life. He is an excellent writer.

I also recommend How to Inc. & Grow Rich by C.W. Allen, How to Own Your Own Corporation by G. Sutton, Loopholes and Inc. Yourself.
