ScoopFree Anti-Tracking Carpet

I know it's just a simple piece of plastic carpet -- so I didn't expect it to work as impressively as it did. But I must say it reduced the amount of tracking significantly -- which is all one could hope for.

Other than the expensive cartridge problem (which we've solved with a Forever litter tray) the tracking was the only minor issue with the Scoop Free system -- which this item solved. Highly recommended.

My two cats track a lot of litter out of the box, and Scoop Free is rather sharp to step on. I had another mat that was supposed to cure the problem, but it did relatively little good. This one works much, much better. It doesn't catch it all, but it has greatly reduced the problem. I consider it an essential adjunct to the Scoop Free litter box.

I'm so glad I got this! I don't usually get much litter out of the box, but this rug keeps what does come out from spreading to the rest of the floor. Perfect size!

I got this mat so that my cats would stop tracking the blue crystals all over the floor. The problem is that the crystals end up getting stuck in the loops over time. I've tried to vacuum it as well as shake it out and it's really hard to get those buggers free.

For those that aren't aware of the design of this mat, it is constructed with carpet-like loops of plastic. While it looks good and does match the box and cover, I actually replaced it with a small swatch of regular carpet. Believe it or not, it's easier to get the crystals out of the carpet with a vacuum cleaner than it is to get them out of this mat... I am rather disappointed.

Just what I expected. Really reduces the amount of litter I find elsewhere through the house.

Great product. I would estimate that we've had a 95% reduction in litter being tracked out of the electric litter box.

The carpet catches a lot, but not all, of the litter that would otherwise be left on the floor. It might be better if it was a little bigger, however.

I wave to say that the Scoop-Free litter mat is a good investment, but it is not perfect. It definitely helps reduce the amount of litter that your cat will track around the house and outside of the litter box, but it won't stop it completely. This is the best designed litter mat that I have seen and I am very happy with the whole Scoop Free litter system and I do recommend the Litter mat and the Privacy Hood, you and your cat will both enjoy it.

Bought this in early Feb 2008, it's almost 3 months later and certainly this "carpet" cuts down on litter tracking, but it's relatively small for the price when compared to other litter mats. And the real negative - my cats like to urinate on it instead of inside the litter box, so I've had to soak it in a bleach mix about 6 times now, and unfortunately the litter that's been tracked in doesn't come out when it's getting cleaned. Not sure this thing is going to make it another 3 months in my house.

The ScoopFree Anti Tracking Carpet works pretty well, although I still end up with a lot of crystals on the floor. However, one of my cats (a 13 pound Tom) really gets crazy with the litter. I think if it were just my two girls using it, nearly all the litter would be captured on the mat. If I knew that just my two girls were going to use the system, I would definitely buy this again.
As to other reviewers' comments, I did NOT notice a funny smell, and it's true that it's hard to get the crystals out, even with a vacuum. Alas, even with the great, great ScoopFree Automatic Litterbox, there are no perfect solutions for indoor cats.
