I just heard of this for the first time, narrated by Samuel Jackson. My 18 year old son shared it with me, and we enjoyed gut-busting mirthful laughter. Yes...I get the shock of the language. And I get that bad people might say these things to their children. BUT (and I did search the reviews before posting), I am a strongly moral, hard-working single mother, and I have to say that, as my children were growing up, such irreverent humor was part of my sanity strategy. I did NOT teach my kids to swear, but we did learn to take ourselves lightly, and I enjoy close relationships with both of my sons. This IS the kind of humor that frustrated parents enjoy when they sleep 3 to 4 hours a night, work 8 to 13 hours a day, and fill the rest with feeding, diapers, homework, and other kid-enriching activities. I call it a "time-out for me".
