Editorial Reviews

Product Description

Marc Blackwell's debut CD, "Bring Me Trouble", is indie rock with growl and attitude. There's some quirky, some dark, some catchy, some moody, some fun. It's got bad places, complications and "dancin' with Satan"; pretty girls, barefoot girls and girls who hate Marc; witches, vampires and a lot of fire. Some influences: Jakob Dylan, The Wallflowers, Mark Knopfler, Dire Straits, Jace Everett, Santana, Leonard Cohen, Tom Petty, Chris Rea, Shawn Mullins, Van Morrison and Warren Zevon.

This product is manufactured on demand using CD-R recordable media. Amazon.com's standard return policy will apply.

About the Artist

Chicago, Illinois, USA is Marc's home. As a boy, his parents filled his young ears with country music while his older brother introduced him to rock. While playing in various bands, he worked as a lifeguard, a delivery truck driver, a cook and a machinist, until he finally hit on a successful gig and toured the Midwest for 11 years with Mike & Joe.

He has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with some great bands like The Samples, Violent Femmes, Kid Rock, Freddy Jones Band, Big Wreck, The Why Store and Vertical Horizon. In 2005, he left the band to pursue his own music. All this has culminated in this CD and quite a bit of his music playing on TV.
