5.0 out of 5 stars he keeps getting better...
With no signs of slowing down, Kaskade has done it again with this great mix CD to follow up his super performance to his "love mysterious" album. This mix CD exceeds expectations to provide numerous house groovin' songs, which will have you playing them repeatedly. The songs on this album are quick and to the point, no long build up's and short & smooth transitions...

3.0 out of 5 stars Hearts Reaction
Kaskade's album is average at best. Hearts Reaction, nonetheless, is a breathtaking song. I spent $15 on an album that I hate on a DJ who is pretty commercial, but I have no regrets. Simply put, Hearts Reaction is the best "afterhours cruising/chilling in NYC" song I have ever heard.

With no signs of slowing down, Kaskade has done it again with this great mix CD to follow up his super performance to his "love mysterious" album. This mix CD exceeds expectations to provide numerous house groovin' songs, which will have you playing them repeatedly. The songs on this album are quick and to the point, no long build up's and short & smooth transitions into the next track. The songs have great variety and flow ranging from soulful to down right crazy funky grooves that force you to throw your hand with the beat. This mix CD is perfect if you want to take a break from your drawn-out trance CD's and want to take advantage of experiencing one of the hardest working and creative DJ's in the biz.

5.0 out of 5 stars Uptempo, Kaskade style, September 20, 2007
This review is from: Bring the Night (Audio CD)
Yeah yeah yeah... so it's not like Kaskade's usual stuff. This is more poppy, more uptempo, and just a little more funky. I can accept that. Bring the Night grows on you like a luminous fungi... if you're not dancing or at least moving your appendages 30 minutes into your second listen, something may quite possibly be broken inside.

There isn't a bad track in the mix, but standouts for me include the remix of "All Good Things" and "Supastar".

I keep listening to this and it really is just a blessing of well produced, excellently chosen tracks. Great for those hot summer evenings when you need something to keep you on your feet. Kaskade has another winner here. Buy it. Trust me.

2.0 out of 5 stars Kaskade - Bring the Night, October 4, 2007
This review is from: Bring the Night (Audio CD)
I've been a big fan of Kaskade's for a few years now. I love his original CD's - where he produces/creates the music himself. I love turning new people on to his music. So I am very sad to say that his newest "Bring the Night" really left me disappointed.

This is definitely NOT in the same vein of his previous works. It's louder and more annoying. If it didn't have Kaskade's picture on the front of the cover, I would never have guessed it for a Kaskade mix cd.

It's not really smooth, sexy, late-night listening. It was really missing his usual chill-out cool vibes. So if that's what you were hoping for, please look elsewhere.

The really sad thing is that the songs themselves are just not that great, the beats especially. The irritating thing is I know Kaskade could create a much better album if he just did it all himself.

If you're into louder, more club anthems, then maybe you'll like this. But if you're just a fan of Kaskade's other stuff, then I'd steer clear of this one.

3.0 out of 5 stars good but could be better, September 25, 2007

First I must say that i am a big fan of Kaskade, I own all of his CDS and usually go on a listening binge when a new one comes out. But this one didn't really do it to me. Kaskade usually makes and produces his own music, and it is not mixed on the CDs. This cd is him mixing other peoples music. Auh not so good. Sorry I must say, it's almost borderline annoying. I saw him live and he was great, (not miguel migs great) but he performed well, and this cd is a liitle like that. Some djs are better at making and producing music and some are better at spinning it live. I will always listen and love kaskade, but will think twice before i buy another mixed cd from him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Kaskade 4 Ever, September 25, 2007
This review is from: Bring the Night (Audio CD)
This is yet another awesome CD by Kaskade. I have to admit that thier were some songs that didn't quite cut it much for me but still would make awesome club music along with some liquor. My most favorite tracks which i personally love where tracks 1,10 and 15. They hit me soul deep and pretty much the best song i heard to date. If you're gonna be a DJ at a party, this is one CD that will go awesome with your playlist and alot of life to the party. This CD from Kaskade is a must have.

1.0 out of 5 stars What Happened?, September 11, 2007
This review is from: Bring the Night (Audio CD)
Although there are some good tracks in here. I found that this compilation does not live up to his previous mixes that had a more downtempo Deep House feel. I learned of Kaskade through my extensive Naked Music Collection. I know there are some listeners out there that want to hear something new... hear an artist evolve. But it just sounds as if Kaskade has fallen into the "so 5 minutes ago" electro trap. I am not surprised, since this recording is on Ultra Records. If you want Deep House, try looking somehwere else. If you like what every other DJ is trying conform their sound to, then buy this.
