3.0 out of 5 stars Good story November 19, 2012

I think this was a good story. Mind you there were tons of grammar error sin this book but the main reason for the lower score was the crappy ending. I'm a girl that loves a happy ending and I feel I only got a half a happy ending. Poor Blake was a great guy Id take him.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but the author needed a spell checker January 20, 2013

I liked this story. Aside from Georgina going back and forth so many times. Maxwell was a great character. I always like bad boys gone sweet. The horrible spelling was distracting sometimes since you have to look over it to figure out what's going on and re-read. Other than that. Good book!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story terrible editing December 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Seems as this never went through an editor. Errors make parts hard to follow and it gets so annoying you want to put the book down. But overall a good story.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bad editting and writing ruins this one for me August 15, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
The author needs to spend some time on her craft- learning grammar, possessive pronouns, and vocabulary. The story itself isn't terrible although I don't know why she wants to try and justify cheating in order to be with your soul mate. And going between the 3 main characters in first person and delving into their feelings is try to justify it as the goal should be to make the reader relate to those characters. Yes- the story is told in first person. Lots of "I" and it was sometimes easy to miss the chapter heading that indicated you had changed perspectives. I get being with someone and also being attracted to someone else. I get that people make poor decisions. But I did not understand her choosing to go away with the man for extended trips and meet his friends and family. Overall many of the secondary characters motivations were never really explained and they popped in and out awkwardly in order to push the story forward when the author couldn't figure out the next step.

If bad writing and editing bother you- then avoid this book. If they don't and the jacket blurb intrigues you then there is a good chance you might enjoy it. Ms. Carr doesn't understand the difference between your and you're. She routinely smashes two sentences into one long sentence complete- literally, its just missing punctuation to separate the two thoughts each with their own subject and verb. Example of my own: Some of them might work if she used punctuation but she appears to have an aversion to the humble comma there were many times when she uses the wrong word. Ms. Carr's vocabulary is lacking. Clasped when she was trying to say collapsed or tweet when it should have been tweak.

This book was really, really, really good! I don't know what kind of ending I expected from this book but I was definitely not upset with the way it did end. A great read that keeps you sucked in until the very end! I look forward to more from this author.
