Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians,
This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
It's funny but i have been reading esoteric books for many years now, and in many ways the book written by barbara marciniak will always be among my most loved ones. i have read all three of her books, each book atleast 3 - 4 times. And now i am eagerly awaiting the coming of her fourth book!!Sometimes, i remember, i would start reading in the evening not stopping till the morninglight.. The words written in these books are very powerfull. They have the power, if you are open to it, to help open your mind to deeper understanding of the world you live in, in your awakening to the realisation of you being here as a soul entity. However a fair warning to those who read this book; this book WILL change the way you vieuw the world, it is deeply mindaltering, if you don't feel the need for these kinds of books and are perfectly happy with your definition and experience of your life as it is, then stay away from this book. However if you are seeking the deeper truth of your reality, of your identity, then this book is for you, as it truly sets you off on a path of (self-)investigation, once set off there is no way back.. I remember as i read this book for the second time, after a reading it a year earlier, the book felt brand-new, never read before. The words written are coded, meaning that they will signify something to you based on your current level, however as you progress, you will discover new deep meaning hidden in the words.. To those critising the stories as fiction, i have the following to say. Truly amazing!

First of all, the, "Bringers of the Dawn" is an excellent piece of work, well worth reading. I highly recommend it to anybody who happens to be reading this review. A very useful book to those who are ready for it.Anyway, as a point of interest. . . "Bringers of the Dawn" was published in 1992, based on materials channeled from a number of years previous. Times and moods were different even only a decade and a half ago. Things have accelerated and the message sent by the Pleiadians has, apparently, been added to by the same source. Look into the, "Cassiopaean Transcripts", a very interesting channeling experiment active from 1994-2001, spear-headed by Laura Knight Jadczyc. The Cassiopaeans claim to BE the Pleiadians, merely broadcasting from a different point in space and time. After examining both materials, the spirit of the message seems to be consistent, although each appeals to different aspects of the puzzle of Humanity and life on Earth. The Cassiopaean communication comes through Ouija board rather than a direct channeling, and allowed for two-way communication presented in a Question/Answer format rather than the one-way messages presented in, "Bringers of the Dawn". Where the P's material was very elaborately spoken, the C's material tends to be more briefly worded, although much more concrete and detail-oriented with few punches pulled. A warning: --The Pleiadian material took a softer approach, presumably to warm up people to certain ideas without shocking them with too much, too soon; They only briefly touched upon certain difficult subjects where the C's, by contrast, are very direct and the things they reveal can be quite shocking for the unprepared. If the P's shook your world, the C's will take it up another level. It is also worth exploring the surrounding work; the journals and essays written by Laura Knight during the years when the C's were broadcasting to her group. Due to certain negative influences, the channeled material appears to be corrupted in a few spots, which can be determined with careful reading. This in itself, serves as a very valuable lesson and exercise; take nothing at face value; knowledge requires an active pursuit on the learner's part. In any case, contrasting and comparing both the P's and the C's message has been instrumental in opening up whole new ideas for me which neither source by itself communicated directly. Such is the nature of this kind of information. Very, very rewarding! The Cassiopaean material is not currently published in book form, but can be ordered on a CD. --There are also copies of the transcripts available for free on a few sites around the web, but I would recommend ordering the CD in order to assure as 'clean' a source as possible. The CD sells for about 30 Euros. The page containing the on-line ordering info is rather difficult to find, and this, I suspect, is deliberate. I tend to disagree with this tactic, preferring the open availability of information, but given the touchy nature of the data itself, Laura's approach may be the wisest. I would post the web address here, but I don't know if the Amazon people allow that in reviews, and I would rather not see this review disallowed becuase of it. Interested people should spend the ten or fifteen minutes necessary to seek it out for themselves. Who knows what you'll learn along the way. . ? I hope this has been useful. Cheers!

Open Your Mind, Open Your Eyes, Open Your Chakras,

Okay, keep an open mind. No really, keep your minds so wide open for what you are about to read because you are going to fall right off that chair if you don't brace yourselves. This is one of those books that is either going to induce a visceral sensation of disbelief in you or change your life completely; I prefer you do the latter for your own sake. So, keep an open mind!
I have to admit, reading the first few pages of this book made me want to write off the author as some sort of new-age phony "channeler" out to make a few quick bucks from vulnerable people. However, the deeper I got into the book, the more I realized that the depth and power with which the information and wisdom was being disseminated was simply beyond the shallow prerogatives of a con-artist. No, I concede that Barbara Marciniak is the real deal. However, there is one caveat that you should take heed of before reading "Bringers of the Dawn". Because some of the "facts" the Pleiadians present are heretical to our notions of reality, it would behoove you to read up on other, more "grounded" publications on human consciousness ("The Field" by Lynne McTaggart, "The Holographic Universe" by Michael Talbot, etc...) before you tackle the colossal paradigm shift that accompanies this book. Without a basic understanding in spirituality, quantum physics, or consciousness studies, this book will not hold the profound experience that you deserve. Marciniak is a self-proclaimed channeler, allowing higher frequency, fifth dimensional "entities" known as the Pleiadians to speak through her from the future (They reside in the Pleiadian star system). The Pleiadians comprise one of the many extra-terrestrial intelligent life-forms out there, not all of whom harbor good intentions for the human race. They tell us that we are on the eve of major Earth event, where the battle for the dominion of our planet is soon to begin (year 2012) between various celestial races. Of course, we will be oblivious to these battles because they will occur in the 4th and 5th dimensions, the levels of reality we cannot yet process (save a few of us who have been enlightened). Why? Because 300,000 years ago, in another struggle for Earth's "frequency" domain, the human DNA was disassembled (from 12 strands to a double helix structure) by sinister entities that wished to keep us in the dark so as to instigate and feed off our vibrations of fear, anger and doubt. I will stop here. Saying anymore would just steal the book of its grand thunder (if you are already finding it hard to digest this information, then take my advice and read up on other books to prepare you for this.) Suffice it to say, the Pleiadians are here to remind us of our divine origins, to trigger our DNA reconstruction so that we can begin to re-assimilate light into our bodies, become "keepers of the frequency" and travel in higher dimensions in order to reclaim our sovereignty and survive the coming upheaval. The Pleiadians offer deep insights into human spirituality, the nature of the cosmos and the awesome potential of the human consciousness. Their collective wisdom draws upon many disciplines (such as meditation, yoga, consciousness studies, psychology, philosophy, biology, chemistry, music, etc.) and marries them flawlessly into a framework that explains the divine "purpose" of our lives. Whether you choose to believe in the existence of the Pleiadians or not, there is simply no denying the treasure trove of truths and wisdom the book has to offer. The Pleiadians themselves do not care whether you believe in their existence, as long as you realize that you have denied your spirituality long enough in favor of this materialistic world; it is time to make that change within yourselves. As you make your own spiritual journey and rediscover your own divinity, you wont need channelers or "alien" entities to remind you of this anymore. This book is not a book, it is an S.O.S message endowed with such awesome power, designed to pierce through our stubborn logical minds and speak straight to our souls.

This book really blew me away because it echoes the same ideas as other books I have read. As another reviewer mentioned, this book conveys the same message that David Icke's books do, that Reptilians are really in charge of this planet and keep us locked in fear for their own sustenance. It gives the same solution for raising our frequency out of fear that the "Allies of Humanity" books do: that we need to raise our own awareness and hone our inner knowledge and discernment. It also echoes the notion introduced in the Seth books that we create our own realities by our thoughts and intentions.
I really enjoyed this book's conversational style. It was an easy read unlike some other books I've read that were dry and repetitive. I look forward to reading the subsequent books in this series!

Half valid info, half imagination,
By Lisa Karch (Rialto, CA United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
I cannot really praise this book warmly. It does have some very good information in it; for example, it has excellent information on manifestation in it. However, it is also full of foretellings of events for the two decades after the book was written; the predictions for the decade of the '90s did not in any way, shape, or form, come to pass. There are foretellings (prophecies?)slated to occur soon within the next 10 years and I imagine those rather large scale and farfetched events (12 million people plus all dying at once?) won't happen, either. It is also full of a lot of other very improbable things, such as our planet being constantly circled by curious being in spaceships, who are intently watching us as a race. It genuinely puzzles me how such good information (which is about a third to a half the book) can be intermingled with such bad stuff. I hesitantly recommend this book for the good information it does contain; however, this book is certainly not for people who easily believe what they read.

A modern mystical classic,

This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
I first read this book five years ago, and was totally captivated by it. I had never been exposed to information from channeled sources, so there was an element of newness for me, along with the quality of the content. I reached a point after a few months where I began to feel that some of the content wasn't accurate, that it was a story told to accomplish a purpose, but wasn't literally the truth. This sense has served me well. I recommend this book, but also recommend that you take from it only the parts that your life and heart tell you are for you. Leave the rest. One of the best points about this book is the emphasis on setting intentions. They give excellent examples of intentions. One of the greatest benefits in my life from this book is living in a more purposeful way, using intentions to steer the direction of my life.

Aliens or not, this is a fascinating book,
By BrainStorm24/7 (Limassol, Cyprus) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
If my educational background and general education has taught me anything, is to approach any "source of knowledge" with a healthy dosage of doubt. Having studied Philosophy, Classics and Comparative Literature in college, as well as subjects varying from Calculus to Hypnosis on my own, I also happen to get bored or annoyed quite easily... it just doesn't happen very often that I come across a text that feels fresh, original, provocative anymore. Well, Bringers of the Dawn did that for me, and I'm quite thankful to the friend who lent it to me (I do intend to return it someday!) So ok, I can't swear to you that this was tranceived through a channeler instead of being the product of a human writer. Does it really matter? Modern literary criticism would answer "no", I think, and I tend to go with that. What matters is the quality, qualities of the text itself. The human species has suffered enough from its bad habit of putting more weight on the celebrity, whether it be Bush or Jesus or Marx or Plato, than on what they are actually saying (hence we've left un-criticized and accepted tons of crap). But if you really do care about the text's origin as well, and I guess in this particular case it might make a difference, let me just say that it is so abundant with intelligent, well-informed analysis and intuition, that it does start to make you wonder about the education that one would have to have in order to be able to "come up" with all this. And i suppose if one knew as much as it would take to compile a book such as this one, she'd probably be a well-paid member of some think-tank group, a policy analyst or something, instead of writing a book and attributing it to extraterrestrials. So it is really interesting. Some will find it shocking no doubt, religious zealots will probably wanna burn it (more sales and publicity for you, friendly aliens!), and unless you're a zealot, you'll probably find it amusing as well. After all, it's not too often that you get a chance to read a book where Freud meets feel-good psychology, and where modern science meets millennia-old beliefs, myths and what have you. More importantly, it's all very intricately woven, the text flows smoothly, if you are a READER, you will not get bored. When it comes to the essence of the book, i have to say, no review could ever begin to discuss the tons of ideas that are thrown into the Bringers of the Dawn, but let me say that, while I was reading with that philosophical kind of eagerness to find THE FLAW, some sort of obvious weakness, a hilariously invalid statement that would allow me to say, "well, this was fun, now let's read something serious", the truth is, I didn't. So of course I may not be able to guarantee to anyone that what is written in this book is true, but it is certainly a fascinating, original, thought-provoking text that I plan to read a few more times in the years to come, not to mention that it surely opens new paths of exploration for me and, having read many many books in my life, that's not something that I say often.

A Great Primer for Earth Life,
This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
BOTD was one of the first "new age" books I read that gave more than a nod to the grimness of this world. I found this both depressing and yet exhilarating. Finally some information that actually lined up with life as I was experiencing it! It also gave hope that something could be done about it. BOTD is far and away Barbara M.'s best work. She lays the groundwork for so much learning, without the airy-fairy "just chant and everything will be fine". There is much hard work to be done according to the Pleiadiens, but it can be joyful. Read this book. Really assimilate her message. Then go on to read the Ra material, and then the Cassiopaean material. The progression is logical and marvelous. Barbara really is a Bringer of the Dawn.

How a Pleiadian Speaks to a Human in Illusion,
By
This review is from: Bringers of the Dawn: Teachings from the Pleiadians (Paperback)
BOTD is my all-time favourite book. commentary is cyclical rather than linear and requires an intuitive eye in order to unlock its secrets. Unlike most other writings, it challenges your perceptions of who you are and what your place is in the world while leaving many mysteries imbedded as either single words, parts of sentences or paragraphs. These mysteries are used to interconnect seemingly separate passages.
I studied this book for years until I sat down over a few days and studied it intently, coming to the conclusion that the answer it gave me was the merkabah as a pentagram! You will not be able to absorb this in one reading, unless you're an ET. The future books continue on the same theme and have to a degree lost that intuitive spark that sets BOTD apart.

After reading other comments, all I can say is if it feels right for you, then it's right. I personally felt this book was speaking to me and addressing occurrances in my life in the past 5 or 6 months. I'd felt I was on a 'path'for about 15 years now...and then a few months ago, I began feeling the path's accelleration. But this book helped me make sense of it all. The feelings of peace and tranquility AND the feeling of purpose and work to be done have taken over my life. Those who feel it's a cult are those who are not ready for these teachings. I look forward to meeting more of the Family of Light in my life.
