JP's best album hands down!,
By A Customer
This review is from: Bringing on the Weather (Audio CD)
If you're a fan of acoustic based music at all, this is a tremendous record. Jack O'Neill and Cary Pierce were at their songwriting peak (in my opinion) with this, their first major label record (after 3 independent releases). Jack's songs are particularly strong, and his storytelling and lyrical descriptions are quite moving. Pierce's catchy "Get to Know Me Better" and very touching "Jacob" are a nice change of pace. This disc is a must if you've ever heard of JP or bands like them. You won't be disappointed.

Ecclectic,

When I first heard this cd, I fell in love. Almost every song on here makes me feel something. Jacob and Late shift make me feel like I'm not the only one with problems. The lyrics are the perfect entity. They not only enhance the music, they make it. The perfect rainy day, leaving home, peaceful album.

Tight!,

From the beginning of the album with Late Shift, you can't help but be drawn into the music of Jackopierce! By the time they get around to 'Jacob' you'll find yourself with tears welling in the corner of your eyes, wanting to hug the young Jacob in the song. Like a good author they pull you into the stories that make up the tracks and have you replaying it over and over to hear it again. They're coming to town in May and I was just looking over their up and coming album and could not believe they only had 4 reviews on Amazon for this one! I used to listen to these guys in college day in and out. The music will have you tapping your foot to the beat of the tamborine and you'll find yourself singing along to the gripping tales they spin. One day your grand children be looking up the definition of folk music and it will read, "See Jackopierce" - it's that good.
