5.0 out of 5 stars Well Done
Who Brings Forth The Wind is a wonderful book and I enjoyed reading it as Lori Wick so vividly took me into Stacy's world. I felt so much joy and pain and sadness and happiness just as she did, but now that the book is over I am even overcome by ever more emotions. The story consists of a torn marriage that is brought back together midst the struggles of Stacy and Tanner...

Lori Wick is a great writer. Her writing style turns this sad story into something worthy of reading.

Stacey is a country girl who is swept into marriage to a Duke. At first all is well, but the unforgiving Duke punishes Stacey for other's sins. The story is realistic in that things are not 'fixed' immediately. The story drags a bit in places, but all in all, it's...

I felt so much joy and pain and sadness and happiness just as she did, but now that the book is over I am even overcome by ever more emotions. The story consists of a torn marriage that is brought back together midst the struggles of Stacy and Tanner. The love between them eventually grows more deeply and the end of the book is very much God-centered as she committed her life to Christ. I throughouly enjoyed reading this and recomend this book to anyone with a desire to see God move through tragic situations. Well done, Lori Wick!

As book 3 of the Kensington Chronicles, the stand alone story is not on the caliber of the first two. We'll see what happens in book 4...

4.0 out of 5 stars A romance worthy of praise, October 23, 2004

This review is from: Who Brings Forth the Wind (Kensington Chronicles, Book 3) (Paperback)
Though I thought this book to be very well written and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Stacy and Tanner, I did, however, believe that there were places in this book that tended to drag a little. I felt that the separation between Stacy and Tanner was too long and a bit hard to swallow. However, I did appreciate the way Mrs. Wick developed the characters and their personalities. It was completely understandable why each acted and thought as they did.

I recommend this book to anyone who is a diehard romantic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Challenging, December 28, 1999
By A Customer
The Kensington Chronicles is my favorite Lori Wick series. I loved this book. It was heart wrenching to read as Stacy struggled through her marriage, and I cried when I imagined what it would be like to experience such pain and disappointment. But I also was reminded of how faithful God is to heal our hurts and give us the strength to endure as Stacy learned to depend on God and trust Him with her life. It was such an encouragement to read as Stacy matured in her walk with Christ and strived to be a Godly wife and mother. Her strength and trust in God challenged me to mature in my own walk with Christ and trust Him with every aspect of my life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good book by a great author!, January 4, 1999

Another wonderful book from Lori Wick. Anyone who likes Christian romances is in the right place! this one was different from most because most of their troubles take place after the couple is married instead of before. The characters prove that love forgives time and again. It's well writen and interesting. If you like Lori Wick, read the whole series!

5.0 out of 5 stars Well written -- you feel the emotions of the characters, December 22, 1998
By A Customer
A widower, previously hurt by an unloving mother and faithless wife, is drawn to an innocent, sheltered and beautiful young woman, Anastasia. Through misunderstandings, jealousies, false assumptions, and accusations Anastasia stays true and faithful. Her life is living proof of a Savior who cares and eventually her husband turns his heart to God. I enjoyed the interaction and conversations between the characters. You can actually feel their emotions. An excellent novel that I highly recommend for those that enjoy Christian fiction.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bre's, April 29, 2000

Don't get me wrong, I am fond of a Lori Wick novel. I am also fond of a good romance. As a romance, this book was good, but as a piece of Christian literature, it fails to hit the vital spot. I don't know how other readers feel, but I believe that a Christian novel needs to more than good, pure, upstanding, non-offensive literature, but also deeply challenging, focusing on the issues that effect so many lives. The book itself is good. It is well written, but I found Stacy to be almost boringly similar to many of Lori's other female characters. Ditto for the husband and wife relationship. I'm not saying that I didn't enjoy this book. I did, very much. I'm sure a lot of people will think I'm too critical, but I can't change my opinion, I'm afraid. However, if you enjoy Lori Wick, I'm sure you'll enjoy this one too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great characters!, June 18, 2006
This review is from: Who Brings Forth the Wind (Kensington Chronicles, Book 3) (Paperback)
As I said in my review of the first volume of this series, I didn't think I'd like this series, but I adored this book. Tanner and Stacy are great characters and you really get a lot of emotion in this book, both romantic and spiritual. I also like how the ending played out - a slightly different variant than normal! This is definitely a keeper! Plus you get to see the characters from book one again.

5.0 out of 5 stars MY favorite Lori Wick Book, July 1, 2003
I loved this book. Although I love many of Ms. Wick's books, this one was my favorite. I got caught up in the emotions of the characters. I got angry with the hero for the things he did, and rooted for the heroine. Its a great experience. LOVED IT!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lori Wick Strikes Again!, November 19, 1999
By A Customer
I read this book a few years ago, and automatically decided that I had to add it to my collection. The story about an innocent Victorian county girl and a wounded, cynical duke is wonderfully thrilling. I cried, I laughed, I got angry. This book is a powerful witness of how God can turn a situation that seems hopeless into something so good. I agonized with Stacy over Tanner.
