Received today and they are in the ground !! LOVE the look. Very stylish and much better looking than the ones at Wal-Mart that look like "Road Flares". It was very overcast here this afternoon and all 4 lites came on. I used 2 on the ground stakes and hung the other 2 from the small shepard's hooks that were included. So far, so good. A "10" in our book. Will finish this review and order another set ASAP. Feel confident when ordering but do yourself a favor and get 2 sets at once. FYI...This set includes 4 ground stakes and 4 shepard's hooks. Enjoy !!

Great little solar light. I also ordered the Garden Prairie Solar State Light because I wanted the taller stake, but this model comes with the stakes and the prairie stakes so you can just order this model and not model 822-0578-4. They work great as long as you have them all placed in the sun so they can recharge each day. I have had to buy some rechargeable batteries and a charger for the lights that are under my tree's in my yard. Overall they accent my yard beautifully and I have enjoyed them very much. Very easy to put together as well.

What a great buy!! I was amazed when I opened my light sets today and saw the quality of them! They are very well made and came well packaged..I could not have asked for more! I purchased two sets and placed some on the ground stakes and the others on the shepherd hooks which were included. I can not wait until they are all charged to see how they will look!

Update 11/21/2010..
I was perhaps a bit hasty in reviewing this item the first time. After they had had adequate time to charge, I found that most of them would not light due to the fact that they had been shipped with outdated batteries. I contacted Amazon and they immediately sent me new batteries. I assumed this would solve the problem, but after having tried those..and later purchasing additional batteries on my own..I have found that most of the lights are themselves defective. Out of eight..three have never lit..and the remaining five give out only a very dim glow which will last for no more than an hour at best.

Therefore I am changing my original review and advising against the purchase of these lights. They would be really fantastic if they worked..BUT THEY DO NOT..and I would give them no more than one star!!
