It takes still shots at the interval you decide on and then assembles them into a video at the frame rate you decide. Awesome product! I've shared some of the videos of our construction on our Facebook page; www.Facebook.com/eddylinepub

That's actually what the output is-a series of still photos numbered sequentially. I use the free Windows Movie Maker to compile them into a video complete with a title frame.

I use AA Lithium batteries. I record an image every 10 minutes from 6:00am to 6:00pm. I use a 32 gigabyte memory card. The average daily file is approximately 20 megabytes. I've changed the batteries every four months. The camera still showed the batteries as being full, but I changed them just to be safe.

Yes. It has an option to place a full timestamp at the bottom of the videos.

No it does not and the hole the lock goes through is only big enough for a luggage type lock

Do some testing with a short time at 1 second intervals and make sure you know how it works. Then set it to the real settings and go. I also start it without being in the case and edit that first frame out in post editing. That way I know it is going before I place it in its mounted housing.

I am using my camera in an outside environment in Iowa where temps this winter have been below zero degrees multipal days with no problem

i put mine up on light pole up 20 feet up, but if some one wants it i am sure they will take it
