It takes still shots at the interval you decide on and then assembles them into a video at the frame rate you decide. Awesome product! I've shared some of the videos of our construction on our Facebook page; www.Facebook.com/eddylinepub
Is it possible to extract the still photos without creating a video in the camera? I prefer to create my own video. Dec 5, 2014
That's actually what the output is-a series of still photos numbered sequentially. I use the free Windows Movie Maker to compile them into a video complete with a title frame.
I use AA Lithium batteries. I record an image every 10 minutes from 6:00am to 6:00pm. I use a 32 gigabyte memory card. The average daily file is approximately 20 megabytes. I've changed the batteries every four months. The camera still showed the batteries as being full, but I changed them just to be safe.
Yes, you will need a video editing software
No it does not and the hole the lock goes through is only big enough for a luggage type lock
What is the best way to make sure that the camera is actually working and taking photos once it is set up and in place? Jan 20, 2015
Do some testing with a short time at 1 second intervals and make sure you know how it works. Then set it to the real settings and go. I also start it without being in the case and edit that first frame out in post editing. That way I know it is going before I place it in its mounted housing.
I am using my camera in an outside environment in Iowa where temps this winter have been below zero degrees multipal days with no problem
