The crossing gate is useless (no big deal). The train is nice and the cars are great. The track is actually a little deceptive. Two of the curved pieces are shorter than the standard length. It works just fine, but makes the loop looked squished. I suppose that this is a trival point, however it seems, well, it seems cheap. We've gone ahead and bought more track (mellissa and doug track is great) and the short curves gather dust.
