Nuria Fergó's debut solo cd was a very nice surprise for me. I ordered the cd based more on the sales that it achieved in such short time in Spain, more than on people's opinion. And I found a cd that became one of my favorites in just a week!
Her style is totally apart from the mainstream pop of her fellow collegues from OPERACION TRIUNFO, she has inclined her music to be more 'mature' and at the same time very enjoyable. The soft ballads and her convincing vocals will get you by surprise; she has a style that mixes very discreetly spanish guitar ballads, piano heavy slow melodies and a couple of flamenco/soultry caribbean format songs. When you hear the music the tracks are presented in a way that flow both entertaining and captivating.
Favorites to me are: the title track "Brisa de esperanza", "En la Habana", "Cómo si nada", "Tu Rincón", "Qué no se te olvide" (probably one of the best ballads ever done- I am serious!) and "Nada soy sin tí".
If you're in love or not, if you look for something fresh and unique than this a must have. If you thought that OPERACION TRIUNFO singers were all about the 'looks no talent' then this album will prove you wrong (but we can't deny after you take a look at the booklet that she is stunningly beautiful). Nuria Fergó: TRULY SPANISH SOUL!

Nuria shocks everyone with this typical flamenco style of singing. She is really great and her voice is commnding. If you liek the song brisa de esperanza make sure you do not get this import but the US version that is available casue it has two bonus remixes.

Nuria was great in the show Operacion Triunfo. Her flamenco style gave her a thumbs up in Spain. This cd is flamenco and ballads and very nice. Her voice is angelic. And the song brisa de esperanza is great. Try it out.
