I found that the thermostat was very unreliable. I couldn't get it to stay at a warm setting where I needed it. Instead it got hot and ruined the material in the drum. I won't buy another.

I run Waste Vegetable oil in our VW TDI and it got so cold this winter I just couldn't get it flowing, even storing the barrel in the garage. Even new olive oil would gel up like Crisco. I set the thermostat on this at 50 and it's been perfect ever since-not too hot, but the oil is at a good viscosity for pumping into the tank. I hope it holds up and doesn't have issues like other have had.

This is the best drum heater on the market for the price. I have purchased many other brands for the company I work for and none of them hold up as well as this brand.
