4.0 out of 5 stars Fridge Water Filter
Easy ordering, timely shipping, no reason not to order from here again. This model is a replacement to the Maytag original. No difference in taste or performance and it's less expensive.

3.0 out of 5 stars Water tastes good, but
Certainly the water tastes good after the filter starts doing its thing. The flush of the filter is a lot more then it seems it should be, like 7 - 9 gallons until charcoal stopped coming through. Also, in the weeks I have had the filter installed I have yet to get the get the water to flow at "full speed". It can take 45 seconds or more to fill a 12 ounce glass. This...

5.0 out of 5 stars Brita Replacement FIlter for Jenn-Air Fridge, April 15, 2008
We purchased these filters instead of the brand that came with the refrigerator because they are a fair amount less costly and because we've had good luck with other Brita filters in the past. Have used one of the six we ordered so far, for about a month, and the water tastes perfect just like it always has. The physical fit is a tad less tight on the fitting than the old filters, but it's got the same o-ring seal and doesn't leak. Don't know how long it will last before needing replacement again, but it should be every bit as good as the original. Recommended.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great. No problems. However,, March 15, 2008
Easy to install just like the original filter, works fine, no problems and half the price. However, unable to compare the types of things the Brita filters out of the water as compared to the manufactures' original filter. Brita states on box by law it is not allowed to make the same claims as manufacture. So does it just filter out chlorine and fluoride or does it also filter lead and small particles like the Original maufactures' filter does? Who knows?

Purchased this filter as a replacement for the Maytag version. It fits perfectly, and we believe the water tastes better. I will buy this filter again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Functional, October 17, 2007

These filters offer the same benefits that Puriclean filters because they are compatible with Maytag refrigerators, the main advantage is that they are cheaper that the original ones. It is a good option.

This filter is significantly cheaper than the Maytag brand and works just as well. It actually went on easier it seemed as well. Water tastes just the same as it did with the Maytag filter. I can't say for certain how long it will last, however, given that my town now receives VERY hard water I don't think the Maytag product would have been able to last appreciably longer. This is made in USA.

I tried the Brita filter last year and it worked well for the year it was in use so I ordered the Brita again.

After running water through the new filter for about a minute, it works exactly as well as the Maytag filter it replaces. Also, unlike other filters made in China, the Brita filter is all USA!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fridge water filer, July 10, 2008
The water is well filtered and fresh, but the Brita doesn't fit as solidly as the Maytag filter it supposedly replaces. I will pay a few $ more for the Maytag filter next time, if only to keep from drooling water everywhere while I try to get the Brita to lock in.
