Decent water filter pitcher
We have owned this pitcher for about 3 years and it has performed well for our family. The size works well for a family of 5 and the countdown feature to tell you when to change the filter is helpful. Faulty Lid Design
First, let me say that I like Brita Filtration Pitchers a lot, and have been using them for years. This is my third one. However, I recommend that you buy another model. The lid of this particular one has a habit of falling out when the pitcher is tilted enough to get the last bit of water out. First, let me say that I like Brita Filtration Pitchers a lot, and have been using them for years. This is my third one. However, I recommend that you buy another model. The lid of this particular one has a habit of falling out when the pitcher is tilted enough to get the last bit of water out. I have just cleaned up the counter after the lid fell out into a pitcher of iced tea and made a big mess - twice. Also, the lid, when removed for cleaning, etc., is difficult to fit back into the top of the pitcher correctly. If you are interested in a Brita pitcher, the Brita 42378 Deluxe model is the same size and has a more secure lid.
