Excellent Travel Guide,

Can be a bit dull and the background music leaves much to be desired; however, it is an excellent guide to England.

The Ultimate Guide to Britain,
This review is from: Britain: England, Scotland and Wales (DVD)
This guide to Britain is enchanting. It has everything: the pomp and ceremony of the Changing of the Guard, the palaces and much, much more. It covers the rich history of England from the ancient Roman ruins in the alluring city of Bath, to the medieval streets of York, to the hustle and bustle of modern London. There are the natural scenic wonders of Britain from the Lake District, to the cliffs of Dover and the mountains in Wales. And it also has a wide range of historical sites such as the castles in Scotland and Wales, beautiful churches such as Canterbury Cathedral and Shakespeare's hometown.
Most of these areas can be reached with a rail pass that lets you inexpensively tour England Scotland and Wales. In fact, most of the video tours in England can be visited on a day trip from London. Of course, if you have time you should spend 3 or 4 days in Scotland and a day or two in Wales. This is an incredible bargain. Check this out before you plan your trip to Britain!!

The DVD is great! Seeing the English and Welsh countryside made me feel like I just went on a short trip. The DVD is not only beautiful but also informative. I can't wait to see another travel guide made by the producer of this video about another country.

A Five Star Video,
By
This review is from: Britain: England, Scotland and Wales (DVD)
A Five Star video that involves much of the British Isles! It is highly recommended for first time visitors and also provides an enjoyable reminder for those who have already visited Britain. The video quality is excellent. I had been there when I was in the Navy.

Spectacular!,

This review is from: Britain: England, Scotland and Wales (DVD)
This video was spectacular! It included Britain's most famous cities and introduced me to the local people and their daily lives. The background music was beautiful including classical melodies, which perfectly matched the contents of the videos. The narration was vivid and interesting especially because I enjoyed the narrator's voice.

Terrific,
This review is from: Britain: England, Scotland and Wales (DVD)
It's sad to see reviews by people who have an agenda such as promoting a competitor etc. This video is a terrific tour of Britain and it includes beautiful video, excellent narration, high-quality music plus background audio that corresponds exactly to the scenes shows. In the introduction it shows the Cliffs of Dover with the sounds of waves pounding loudly during the narration. Then in the next scene it shows the sights and sounds of the Household Cavalry as these guards and their horses assume their posts. During the changing of the guard, you see the pageantry and hear the commanders loudly direct the troops and hear even hear the clicking of the boots of the members of the guard - it's just like you are there.
Or take a tour of St. James Park and see and hear the beautiful swans and geese so close they almost pecked at the camera and quack loudly as the children laugh. At the Tower of London you can see and hear the loud Ravens which a legend says guard this tower. Or watch and hear a rowing race at Oxford. It covers all of Britain, Scotland and Wales. Enjoy the tour. Why do certain reviewers lie - who knows -but it is troubling that they do.

I was so looking forward to sitting down and watching this video and was irritated from the get-go. First, the background music is obnoxious and does not fit the mood of the video. Second, if you can get past the cutesy phrases, the narrators voice is annoying. Third, there are some incorrect facts. Fourth, I have no idea why we were subjected to footage of Desert Storm. And finally, I think by now, that any of us who have an interest in England, have seen at least a hundred times the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. It is not necessary to belabor that point twice in the video. There were a couple of interesting video shots of a few towns in England, but they were too limited to give you a real feel for the place. Overall, very disappointing. I am sure that England has so much more to offer.

A Fair Travelogue,
This review is from: Britain: England, Scotland and Wales (DVD)
It's a basic, old-style, fairly jolly "let's go to Britain" video. Not exactly "globetrekker", but it does the job.
