Book Description

July 1, 1997 Britain and Europe
Britain Held Hostage reveals for the first time who created the European Union and why. Even before the Second World War British and American friends in high places planned one Europe. Resistance leaders fought for a superstate like Nazi Europe but without Hitler, but it took the Americans to make it happen. Today Britain has a new constitution, the Treaty of Rome; British law is subservient to European law. Shortly Britain will be a province in a German Europe. Proposals for one army and one police force are only the latest in a long line of 'smaller steps' leading to 'major consequences' for British voters. Soon the British will know they won the war but lost the peace. Britain Held Hostage is the first in the Britain in Europe series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential, anti-"euro" info: 'keep Britain's sovereignty'.., May 1, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Britain Held Hostage: The Coming Euro-Dictatorship (Britain and Europe) (Britain and Europe) (Paperback)
Lindsay Jenkins shreds both the 'euro-crats' in Brussels and their complicit (sometimes surprisingly so) allies in the U.K. She spells out the reasons for the looming loss of Britain's sovereignty - and the last-ditch reasons for the United Kingdom to reject joining the euro. Frederick Forsyth's foreword (his usual crisp, lucid prose) sets the standard - well met - for the author's compelling destruction of the 'Euro-land' myths, lies and stealthy reach for dictatorial, statist power. Sixty years ago, in 1939, another grab for totalitarian control began in earnest. Its resulting horror should make it worth every thinking person's while to read this presentation of the modern day version. If you care about liberty, freedom and democracy, arm your thinking with this book's contents.
