Britax Boulevard Convertible Car Seat

I shopped for a long time to find a good price on this car seat as everyone seemed to agree that it was the safest one out there. The buckle strap is so short that when buckled, the clips are down between my daughter's legs forcing her to hold them far apart. It made red marks on her inner thighs. My daughter is only 19 pounds, so this is not because she has gotten too big for the seat. I called Britax and they told me that they have heard from others that this model has too short a strap and there is nothing to be done.

I give it one star because this flaw made the seat useless to me and now I have to pay return shipping - which I imagine is going to be pricey.

Just bought this--our second Britax Boulevard car seat. We needed a seat for Grandma's car. I couldn't believe the $229 price on this, our first one was $300! I thought maybe it was a close out, but the seat was manufactured in August 2008. Babyage delivered it in two days!

Our daughter is 28 inches and 20 lbs at 7 months old. After about 5 months she was too big for her infant seat. This seat is perfect for her, comfortable, and we love the fact we can keep her rear-facing until 35 lbs.

It is super easy to adjust the harness - no need to rethread and it is easy to install with the latch. Grandma's car didn't have the latch, so we had to use the seat belt - took a little bit longer but not too difficult to do.

We had the Britax Companion and was very satisfied with the how the seat functioned and the quality overall. My daughter grew out of it at 9 months though so we had to get a new seat. With the experience of the old car seat and the reputation of Britax rating high in safety made our decision to get the Boulevard. My now 10 month old is very comfortable and the seat works as expected. We bought this through Baby Age and they delivered as promised, new and on time. We are happy with the entire purchase.

This is a great product. It is probably the best car seat on the market. The Marathon is nice, but the Boulevard has the adjustable headpiece which means that you never have to rethread the shoulder straps through the seat as your child grows. We have 3 of these seats and we love them.

I bought this carseat after doing a LOT of research. Opted for the Boulevard over the Marathon due to better side support/protection. We have 2 different brands of seats, and this is the preferred one. It is comfortable for our child, the padding on the straps is great, especially for long trips it doesn't dig into her neck. So easy to adjust as they grow, and easy to install. VERY happy with the Britax & highly recommend.

this is the perfect car seat. i have used it in an Accord, Durango and Caravan, and it works perfectly in all three. it was bought when my daughter was 11 months old. My neice who is almost 4 can also use it comfortabley. it is VERY easy to clean. I would hightly recommend this product to other moms looking for a larger seat.

We love this car seat!! It is wonderfully made and has great safety reviews. The colors are perfect and the fabric doesn't get too hot in the car. It is so easy to install and adjust. We were a little worried it would be too large in our 2006 VW Jetta, but it fits perfectly! My daughter hates being in the car, but this seat makes her much more pleasant!

The carseat arrived broken. The box it came in was all destroyed and retaped as if it had completely fallen out of the box in shipment. All the safety Styrofoam was broken and cracked in half.

The seller was called to rectify the situation. However, BABYAGE refused to do anything but refund our money (and we would have to pay to ship it back to them). They claim that they did not have any more of the Regal Pattern and since the Regal was on sale and the others were not they could not do an even exchange with any other Boulevard. Their reason was they stated that Britax is the one that controls the price and they were unable to discount the other Boulevards to make an exchange work. However we called Britax and they said they had no such policy and that BabyAge should have made the exchange and if we had any problems to call Britax back. Again BabyAge refused to budge, saying that they would not and could not do anything. We called back Britax and they said they would exchange it since the retailer wouldn't (even though Britax did not have any Boulevards in the Regal print either they just sent one to us in another pattern). Britax even paid the shipping for us to ship the broken car seat back to them!

Bottom line Britax is one of the Best Baby companies out there. They stand behind their products and will rectify situations that their retailers will not. BabyAge however will not stand behind anything that they might lose money on, even if it never reached the customer in working order. I will not purchase anything from BabyAge again.

So the carseat gets five stars, BabyAge gets one star.

I love the adjustable harness and its so comfortable for my daughter. I wish I'd gotten it sooner!

This is our second Boulevard...the fisrt one has been so nice that we decided to have another one!! Highly recommended!
