Practical, Comfortable Design For Easy Installation
The Companion features push-button release LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children) connectors renowned for their flexibility and ease of use. These connectors also come complete with strap storage so you can install the Companion through traditional seat belts if you wish. The built-in lock-offs provide a tight, secure installation in minutes, and are also easy to reach. Plus, you'll never have to worry about missing parts! To help ensure convenient and efficient transport, the smooth, contoured and adjustable carrying handle has a soft grip. Additional Britax Companion Seat Bases can be purchased for the multi-car family that only wants to move the seat between vehicles. An in-car base is a great feature when you want to transport a sleeping baby from car to destination without waking them up.

Custom-Fit For Optimum Safety
The recline adjust knob helps the seat perfectly fit your vehicle by allowing you to make needed adjustments with just one hand. The soft and supportive straps fit snugly over your baby's shoulders, collarbone and hips to provide a stable fit, and they can be quickly adjusted by a one-pull strap. The tangle-free, five-point harness offers three harness heights and is made of durable polyester webbing to guard against wear and tear. For babies weighing less than seven pounds, the Britax Companion Low Birth Weight Foam can be purchased separately to provide additional support. If you have a tall family, the Britax infant carseat is for you. It allows for a baby height of 30 inches. The popular Graco only goes to 26 inches and our son outgrew that carseat at 10 weeks. You will find the Britax to be heavier, the clasp is harder to use, and it doesn't give you a loud, reassuring CLICK when you hook it to its base, but at least you will be able to use it for many months!

I love this car seat. After researching many different seats I decided to go with Britax after hearing so many great things. The seat is very comfortable for my daughter, every time we go out she is asleep in her seat within minutes. There is a head support with True Side Impact Protection in case of an accident, which is very reassuring to me. The material is very nice and easily washable. The straps on the five point harness are easy to adjust with just the push of a button and the pull of a strap. You can loosen or tighten the straps with the baby already in the seat. The base is set up for a car with LATCH but can also be used with a seat belt. When the seat is hooked onto the base, there is a loud click to let me know that she is locked in unlike the other reviewer mentioned. The seat is rather heavy. However, safety is more important to me than how much a seat weighs. This is one of the best seats on the market, a little pricey but what price would you put on your child's safety? My next car seat will be a Britax!

Great rugged infant car seat, but it does have a few problems. It's really heavy if you ever use the seat outside of the car. The little head TSIP (true side impace protection) piece keeps falling down, last of all, adjusting the handle is difficult as the latches on each side really require a good pull. If you have large access car doors and plan to leave the seat in your car attached to the base, it's a great safe seat.
