We originally bought this seat about 4 years ago for my older daughter in the yellow flower pattern. We purchased this seat for her when she was about 9 months old and had outgrown her infant car seat. All I can say is she is almost 5 years old now and we are still using it! We have a younger daughter who is 3 years old and we had originally intended to give this seat to her when my older daughter outgrew it, needless to say that still has not happened. We ended up purchasing a second marathon for my younger daughter. So...I know it's pretty pricey, but considering that we have been using it for 4 years now I think we've more than gotten our money out of it. It is also consistently ranked at the top for safety which is of course another major factor that first prompted us to buy this seat.

PROS: Easy to install and very secure once installed, easy to remove cover for washing, easy to adjust/tighten the shoulder straps, comfy for long road trips as their head has a place to rest on the side.

CONS: It's a little large (but I've had several cars in the last 4 years and never really had a problem with installing it) and slightly heavy moving from car to car. The clips on the bottom are a little difficult to lock in place. Really no major cons in my opinion hence the 5 stars.

All in all an awesome car seat. I recommend it to all of my friends in the market for a car seat.

I have never owned a Britax before, and I have never used LATCH because it always seems so complicated, although I know it is much safer than a seatbelt. When I ordered this product, it came very quickly, within a week. The material of the car seat is much nicer than in photos, it's actually a velour material. When I pulled it out of the box, I could just tell that it was well made. The car seat was very thick and sturdy, very soft as well. You can tell it was a well made car seat. I read from other reviews it is very easy to use with LATCH, and never using it before, I was leary, however, it truly is VERY EASY to install with LATCH. We only bought 1 because my daughter's old car seat was broken, but comparing it to my son's next to her's, her Britax Marathon is taller, thicker, more secure, and it does not move an inch when I try to wiggle it. This is the safest, most comfortable car seat I have ever seen. I will definitely be buying my son one asap. It also keeps the kids in the harness for 65 lbs, which is really nice. The only negative is that there is no cup holder, but definitely the safest, easiest to install car seat I have ever purchased.
