Small Car Friendly, December 16, 2008
This review is from: Britax Roundabout Convertible Car Seat - Bridgeport (Baby Product)
After trying several different models recommended for small cars, I found this to be the only one that would fit rear-facing in my Saab 9-3 without sacrificing the front passenger seat. Ironically this is the same seat my wife has in her Ford Escape so now we have two. I still had to move the seat forward some in the Saab, but a passenger can ride up front for around town rides. Cross-country rides would still be a bit uncomfortable. Overall, the seat fits securly, and it was relatively easy to install (with latch) in both cars. Admittedly, I wouldn't want to take it in and out every day, which is why we have two. The weight limit is on the low end (40lbs) compared to other seats, but that was the trade-off for the shorter head height. Hopefully by 40lbs she'll be tall and old enough to move into a convertible booster and will be able to hand these seats down to a younger sibling. My only complaint with the seat is that the shoulder harness gets twisted sometimes (especially when working around heavy winter coats). Fastening and tightening the harness is a little bit of a chore with the seat rear-facing, but I imagine the same problem would occur with most other seats. The side adjuster on the Evenflo was nice, but it just wouldn't fit. Overall I would recommend this seat for any car, especially a small car that needs to keep a usable front seat.

From Birth to Now, April 27, 2009
This review is from: Britax Roundabout Convertible Car Seat - Bridgeport (Baby Product)
We've used this car seat from birth. My daughter is 24 lbs and 21 months, and we still have her rear-facing. There are numerous studies in the Injury Prevention Journal indicating this is the safest position for her. We had the seat professional installed and it worked perfect for our almost 8 lbs newborn daughter. She left the hospital in this seat, and we've been 100% pleased. I've washed the cover twice in a year and a half. I washed it on cold and hung it to dry. It is easy to take on and put off. I've installed the seat in several other cars due to traveling and it couldn't be easier. I know it's safe. It's obvious she's comfortable as she doesn't fuss when we put her in it. I felt compelled to write this review because I saw someone else said you couldn't use it for a newborn. YES, you can. It's rated as such and it worked great.

Pretty good., June 12, 2009
This review is from: Britax Roundabout Convertible Car Seat - Bridgeport (Baby Product)
Overall I like the carseat. My only issue with it is that it dosn't come with shoulder gards. My son wound up getting getting hurt on the straps. It gave him a "rugburn" type mark. I had to go out and purchace a pair. You would think that spending this much money on a seat that it would come with something so vital and simple as this.
