One of the reasons I prefer Britax is because of the superior safety of their seats. But that superior safety has a price - the seats are much bulkier and heavier than cheaper ones. This makes hauling them through the airport on a trip very difficult. When my children were young, I had to purchase a second lightweight cheap seat for travel, which sacrificed their safety when we were on the road during our travels.

I bought this as a gift for my sister-in-law. Its a godsend. We've traveled together and its made getting the carseat through security and to the gate so much easier. Once on the plane, it just folds right up and fits in the overhead bin. I wish I had one of these when my kids were little! If you plan on traveling with your carseat, this is a must. Also, if you plan to gate check the seat definitely get a cover - we've had car seats come back soaking wet from being left on the tarmac in the pouring rain!

Love this travel cart from Britax! Very light weight and super easy to strap the car seat on. It fits right in the overhead compartment too!

I have two toddlers and we were taking a long trip. I had the original gogobabyz which I used with my oldest child when he was a toddler but it didn't fit my new larger britax seat, so I bought this britax cart, thinking it would be better because it was made by the company. On taking it out of the box, it looked like a "dolly" you would use to carry boxes. The latch attachments clip to these rectangular fixtures on the base and it sits a bit high off the ground (several inches). It felt a little unstable despite the fact that the seat was secured we'll to the cart. The issue seems to be the center of gravity being higher. Also when taking my child on a little test run around the house, when we rounded the bend into the kitchen, the latch attachments shifted to the side of the rectangular attachments and the whole seat tipped over. I figured I needed to install it like in the car, with more pressure. So I decided to tryit on the trip anyway.

Meanwhile, I emailed gogo babyz to see if they had a kit to make my old travelmate fit one of my kids marathon car seats. They did not have a retrofitting kit so they sent me a new travelmate that would fit my larger britax car seat - this is 6 years after I bought the original travelmate! That is some seriously unusual customer service! The car seat I installed quickly and felt very secure. It sits right on the floor and is quite stable. I loved the original and found this newer versionn even more secure and easier to install.

So off we went, with both kids in their car seats, one on the britax cart and the other on the gogobabyz. The britax cart tipped over repeatedly, injuring my son (however mildly), and terrifying my husband and me. the gogobabyz has larger wheels and a smoother ride. It corners like a porche. It does not tip. Clearly the britax engineers could learn something from the little company that invented the travelmate.

I HAVE SEVERAL SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN AND CAN'T FIT ALL THEIR WHEELCHAIRS EVEN WITH A MINIVAN THIS IS A PERFECT SOLUTION. ESPECIALLY WHEN WE STOP QUICK AT THE BLOODWORK OFFICE AFTER THE PEDIATRICIAN. LOVE IT WISH I HAD FOUND IT MONTHS AGO. EXTREMELY VERSATILE. CAN CHANGE THE CHILDREN AND USE THE BASE DEPENDING WHO I HAVE. WORKS WITH DIFFERENT CARSEATS THAT ISN'T BRITAX ALTHOUGH I DID GET A BRITAX CARSEAT. IT IS GREAT AS WELL. THE CARSEAT IS VERY GOOD WITH MY CHILD WHO HAS NO HEAD CONTROL AND CAN NOT SIT UP INDEPENDENTLY.

I have to say that Britax car seats are far superior in my opinion to any other brand for safety alone - but also because they have a different tightening system for the LATCH system and can be moved in less than 10 minutes from car to car.

The one thing I have against them is that they are so heavy, not that they are the only car seat that is heavy, they're not. So, when I saw this cart on the Britax website I thought I might as well try Amazon because they were bound to be cheaper and I was right.

The cart arrived, well packaged and was super simple to open up and is very strong - it holds the car seat easily and even with a child riding in the seat, which when rushing through the airport is very handy, and my daughter weights 42 pounds.

It folds up very small, so will fit in a car easily and into overhead bins on aircraft almost always (the smallest planes maybe not).

This is the ONLY way to fly with your car seat - ours is usable on the plane for extra security and comfort for our daughter and even if we didn't we can gate check it easier this way - but if you're planning to gate check and not use the seat in flight, then I suggest wrapping the car seat in a clear plastic bag or something similar as they sometimes leave the gate check items out in the rain and a wet car seat makes for an unhappy child.

All in all, would highly recommend this - we have the original britax Frontier seat and it is perfect for it - would also mention as an aside that if you have a Frontier with a damaged seat cover, call Britax, you might get a free one under warranty.

We bought the britax carseat roller for our 21 month old son. We travel a fair amount and after he moved into the convertible seat, this was a must have! It's light weight, easy to use and fits in the overhead on regional jets. He was very happy being rolled around in his comfy carseat. The inline wheels make for a smooth, quiet ride.

I am so disappointed in this product!

It is flimsy and way too overpriced for what it is (basically a luggage cart with the Britax logo on it.) I was expecting this to be made of much higher quality materials, and I found it very difficult to maneuver with my car seat attached. The weight of the car seat makes it very unbalanced and creates a tipping hazard. I was not using a Britax car seat with it, however the product info clearly states it is compatible with other brands of car seats...I will definitely be returning.

A most excellent product. We wouldn't have paid this at $80 for one, but since there was a special sale going on where we got one for free if we purchased a car seat, we got it. We pulled our twins through the airport like they were carry-on luggage. The wheels rolled very smoothly. Make sure to secure both latches on the bottom and also the over-the-back (floor anchor) latch as well.

Two concerns I have is that it can stay locked closed, but it doesn't stay locked open. Watch out for that. Also, when locked closed and standing (no car seat mounted), pushing it a little can tip it over. Still, very sturdy construction. Just not sure it is worth $80.

We bought this for our Britax Boulevard and it works as promised. Pulling our toddler through the airport was easy. Removing the seat and re-attaching for the security screen was simple and uncomplicated. Storage proved to be a little more challenging as none of our flights would allow this to be stored in the overhead bins. We had bulk-head seats for one of our flights. Fortunately, the flight attendants were helpful and stored this for us in another spot.

I bought this item specifically for the Britax car seat after reading other reviews that indicated that Britax does not work well with other systems. It was relatively easy to get installed. I did have a problem adjusting it exactly as it appears in the picture, but it was secure, and relatively easy to maneuver. I would recommend it to anyone who travels. I wish I would have bought it earlier! My little guy is 3.
