Amazon.com Product Description

A new flat-panel may look lovely mounted on your wall, but not if it's surrounded by a mess of boxy home theater equipment. That's where the Air HD (BV-2500) comes in. The Air HD can transmit all of your High-Definition content from a Blu-ray player in a separate room to the HDTV positioned in your living room, or even to another display in the kitchen. Eliminates messy AV cable connections to your flat-screen TV, and keep things clean and minimal.

Air HD (BV-2500)
Eliminate messy AV cable connections to your flat-screen TV, and keep things clean and minimal.
Air HD (BV-2500)
Transmit your high-definition content from a separate room to the HDTV positioned in your living room.

Hide Your Home Theater System

Works With Any HD Video Source

The Air HD Video Wireless Kit is comprised of a transmitter (BV-2500T) and a receiver (BV-2500R). It wirelessly streams uncompressed High-Definition videos from any HD video source device to your HDTV (or projector), placed anywhere in the house.

Have your Blu-ray player, set-top box, game console, DVR, and AV receiver run directly into the Air HD HDMI transmitter, and equip your HDTV with a matching BV-2500R receiver. This allows you to have all of your AV sources in a separate room from the actual display.

High Definition Is in the Air

The built-in Omni-directional Antenna System enables wide-range HD video transmission, with a maximum of 70 feet line-of-sight. It offers wireless whole-home connectivity with the quality of an HDMI wired connection. The High-definition video transmission even goes through walls, and there is virtually no latency (less than one millisecond). Thanks to the "No-Latency" feature, users can play high-definition video games using the wireless link, and experience no fuzziness or stuttering. The BV-2500 supports full 1080i resolutions, and 1080p resolutions at frame rates of 25 and 30.

Avoid Interference

The Air HD adjusts its frequency settings between 4.9 GHz and 5.9 GHz automatically for the best video transmission performance. The Air HD system will change the frequency it operates on if interference from another RF (Radio Frequency) system is detechted.

Save Money

The Air HD effectively eliminates the need to double up on devices--set top boxes, game consoles, Blu-ray players, etc.--for multiple TVs. Just connect the receiver (BV-2500R) to your second HDTV and pass through the same signals from the feeding the first HDTV.

And why spend several hundred dollars to rewire your living room? The Air HD helps you hook up all of your entertainement equipment to your transmitter anywhere in the room, without the hassle of running wires.

5.0 out of 5 stars EASIER THAN YOU THINK!! PERFECT FOR DIRECTV, December 27, 2009
This review is from: Brite-View BV-2500 Wireless HD Video Transmitter and Receiver Kits (Electronics)
WOW...

My purchase before this item was a logitech universal remote. I spent 10 hours and 2 calls to India to set up and I ended up not using the RF remote because it didn't work.

REASON FOR PURCHASE (APPLICATION):
I wanted to gift my mom the ability to watch her DirecTV in the kitchen on the new 23" Samsung I got her. We didn't want to go through the hassle of having another big DirecTV HD DVR box and more coaxial line run around the house, so I bought the Briteview.

INSTALL:
1. Plugged HDMI cable from Family room DTV receiver to back up base unit (kept the component video and audio plugged into cinema receiver for the main TV).
2. Plugged BV-2500 base unit into wall.
3. Placed Infared receiver over the DTV receiving IR port
4. 40ft away and through 1 wall I plugged receiving unit into back of Samsung 23" TV via HDMI
5. Plugged receiving unit into wall
6. Turned on both TV's and whaa-la

PRO's
* Not sure for all applications, but the DirecTV receiver was capable of sending component audio/video and HDMI aud/vid at the same time, so we could watch and adjust volume on both TV's at same time with ZERO LAG (both audio and video).
* SUPER EASY INSTALL WITH INFARED WORKING ON FIRST ATTEMPT
* HD picture quality is 1080P
* No extra running of cables for my application
* Small receiving unit makes for a clean looking install. Unit is smaller than most computer home routers.

CON's
* No HDMI out on the base unit (would make nice for lots of us who want to pass through the HDMI and don't have an AV receiver or want to change AV receiver input). Instead I have to use both HDMI and component out so.

UNKNOWN AND OTHER SUGGESTIONS
To complete the install I think I will probably need to buy an additional DireTV remote and program the 2nd TV's volume control to that.
Keep in mind your are going to be watching the SAME channel on the 2nd display if you are watching the primary display at the same time. That being said this isn't for most family's. My mom lives with just my dad and they enjoy watching the same thing.

Now my mom can cook family dinner and watch TV at the same time!!!

Keep in mind this was a gift from someone (me) who doesn't even own or watch TV.

4.0 out of 5 stars Unexpected, September 11, 2009
This review is from: Brite-View BV-2500 Wireless HD Video Transmitter and Receiver Kits (Electronics)
My friend and I have been looking for a wireless HDMI setup for some time now. We've tried the Sony Bravia Wirelesslink, and we both ran into the same problem. That unit sends video, but no audio to a Samsung LCD. In addition, there was a lag in the video. The video quality was good, but not exceptional. Then as I was returning that unit, I found this. Figured it was worth a try. Let me just say..I'm glad I did.

This is near perfect. The video quality is better than the Sony. Unfortunatley, there's no 1080p, but 1080i works just fine for me.

Pros:
No lag in transmisisons
IR Repeater allows everything to be tucked away from plain site
Easy to install
Easy to setup
Works really well with no interference to video/audio quality
Cheap in comparison to other available products

Cons:
-Upon initial setup, the reciever was dropping in and out in connection. I ended up following the instructions and changing the recieving channels, after that I haven't had an issue.
-The remote that comes with it is bare bones, meaning another remote to manage. If only it was like the Sony unit that could replace other remotes..

One additional thing I would like is the option to add additional recievers to the sending unit. Otherwise, this unit has more than exceeded my expectations.

This review is from: Brite-View BV-2500 Wireless HD Video Transmitter and Receiver Kits (Electronics)
The wireless hdmi sender works very well. No interference sending video into an adjacent room. If you intend to use this the way I am (receiver in different room than transmitter) just understand you will not be able to turn on the transmitter via the supplied remote. It will only turn on remotely if the remote is pointed directly at the transmitter. It will NOT work via the included IR blaster. You will have to use another remote extender and IR blaster or manually turn on the transmitter like I do. As for quality of picture it is very good, no problems with that.
