British and American Hit Singles,
By Michael Bainbridge (New Zealand) - See all my reviews
This review is from: British and American Hit Singles: 51 Years of Transatlantic Hits 1946-1997 (Paperback)
This book covers all the British top 75 and American top 45 singles charts, and as a reference book I found it very useful - Although this book is not as in depth as 'British Hit Singles/Every Single Hit Since 1952' by Jo Rice, Tim Rice and Paul Gambaccini. This book would have got five stars if it had included alphabetical listings of the song titles, as well as the band listings - this would make it much easier to find the artists to those lesser known songs. It also has the unusual quirk of listing the artist in the alphabetical listing by there first name which again makes it slightly harder to navigate. But even with these limitations I still recommend this book.
