An overlooked miniseries,

This review is from: The British Army on Campaign (4): 1882-1902 (Men-at-Arms) (Paperback)
These series of 4 booklets on the British Army on Campaign and what they wore is surprisingly overlooked for the amount of detailed and quite comprehensive documentation on this subject. With a lucid text by Michael Barthorp who writes well especially on the British Army during this period of Empire, and excellent paintings by Pierre Turner, these 4 booklets should be hunted down in second-hand bookstores.
