Reprint of the history of British Rifles,
By b.knaapen@synact.nl (Bilthoven, The Netherlands (Europe)) - See all my reviews
This review is from: British Enfield Rifles: Nra Handbook (Paperback)
For the average Lee Enfield owner it will be an interesting thing to know that its older brothers where even flintlocks. Did you know that the british laborers planted walnut trees in 1800 and that this was the basis for a succesion of fine guns. The first part of this reprint tells the history of the rifles and in the last part it deals with questions from readers, including exploded views of the No1 and No4 rifle. Lots of little details like "Enfield" indicating the type of rifling and not the place of the facotry, types of amunitions in charts etc. If you have a Lee Enfield this is a book you can not mis.

An Enfield Owner Must!,

This review is from: British Enfield Rifles: Nra Handbook (Paperback)
I recently purchased this NRA reprint and being a first time owner of a No.4 Mk.I* Enfield rifle found it to be most helpful. A lot of un-answered questions about Enfield types the .303British cartridge and other valued information can be found in here.I highly recommend it as a great reference tool for your Enfield rifle to have on the shelf. |
