5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent early British compilation!
This is a very good set of original hits by the original artists! It is a nice variety of artists that were all in their own way very important to the British Invasion! Especially nice is the marvelous Chad & Jeremy hit "A Summer Song"! I would highly recommend this CD!

4.0 out of 5 stars All Great Original Songs as Played on AM Radio, April 8, 2011

This review is from: British Invasion (Audio CD)
Every one is the real thing 'taken from the original masters tapes'.

The title is a bit strange as most of us in America, the 'invasion' started with the Beatles in '63 but this collection of JUST 10 tracks starts in '64 and goes all over the place [no Beatles or The Rolling Stones of course] and ends in '78. No way! Gary Glitter and Bonnie Tyler do not even begin to fit a invasion scenario. The 2nd British Invasion I believe really started in 1981 in any case.

The Police
Dire Straits
Culture Club
Wham!
Tears For Fears
Paul Young
Duran Duran
Simple Minds
U2
Elvis Costello
The Pretenders
Nick Lowe
Gary Numan
Squeeze
Spandau Ballet
ABC
Go West
Tears For Fears
Howard Jones
Human League

And many more...but none of them are here on this collection.
