This review is from: British Petroleum and Global Oil, 1950-1975: The Challenge of Nationalism (History of British Petroleum, Vol. 3) (v. 3) (Paperback)
This book traces British Petroleum's venture into the Middle East, specifically Kuwait. A fascinating book, has everything from geological surveying to parties with Arab nationalists to the segregation of Arab employees from white employees. BP's early years in the Middle East was like a fat man's boot through a wet bed of flowers; by the end of the book you can sort of see why they hate us...
A great read. Highly reccommended. |
