Here is the best guide to these sparsely populated islands. Largely untouched by tourism, they have few high-rise hotels, no time-share condos and no casinos. Great book, loads of info. Just keep in mind that the Virgin Islands have gone through and continue to go through numerous changes. Some places change hands often, while others stay on forever.
