5.0 out of 5 stars Robin Canter performing works by Benjamin Britten and Gerald Finzi, August 7, 2009
This review is from: Britten and Finzi - Works for Oboe & Strings - Robin Canter (Audio CD)
This 1998 recording on Carlton Classics features British oboist Robin Canter, the Medici String Quartet and pianist Simon Nicholls on the following works:

Benjamin Britten
Six Metamorphoses after Ovid for oboe solo Op.49
Phantasy for oboe and string trio Op.2
Temporal Variation for oboe and piano
Two Insect Pieces for oboe and piano

Gerald Finzi
Interlude in A minor for oboe and string quartet Op.21

The Finzi Interlude is rarely recorded and you should definitely snap up this recording by this outstanding oboist Robin Canter.
