5.0 out of 5 stars An Amazing Recording!, February 27, 2010

This review is from: Britten: The Rape of Lucretia (Audio CD)
I own two other Britten Opera's conducted by Richard Hickox and he has yet ceased to amaze me. This recordings of "The Rape of Lucretia" is by far the best to my knowledge. There is an excellent balance between orchestra and vocalists and it carries throughout. With an amazing cast the vocalists all do a superb job. I would highly recommend this recording to anyone seeking an ultimate recording of this opera.
