There is nothing I can say that will add to what has been said about the War Requiem by people many times more intelligent than myself in the past. If you want a in depth review of the work look for reviews by professional reviewers!In my opinion this is one of the best choral works ever composed and possibly THE best choral work of the 20th century. This is a great full score, too!

I've known this work for years and performed it once. Looking to re-live the performance in my mind, I decided to buy the score. As with most musical experiences, reading along with the score enhances the musical experience. For visual learners, the effect is riveting with this 20th century masterpiece.The B&H version is of sufficient size that I did not experience any eye strain. Very well made. Looking forward to other scores in this series. |
