Disappointing,
By Mark Twain (the moon) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Broadband Microwave Amplifiers (Artech House Microwave Library) (Hardcover)
This is a strange book. Some chapters are super simple things you have to know to get a BS. Other chapters are irrelevant things like the physical dimensions of packages for amplifier modules. Some chapters are more broad brush summary of past technology. The few remaining chapters about amplifier design are missing critical items you would need to do your own designs.
However, if the book is read as an advertisement for Brand X amplifiers it makes total sense. The problem is that potential customers should be given advertising material for free, not charged $100+ for it. There are several other books available that will give you the design methods and pitfalls to avoid. |
