This set of books, if it is the complete set, takes the scripture and gives multiple interpretations from several different viewpoints. This could be why the Southern Baptist Convention no longer sells it. It is an increadible resource for those wanting to delve further into what the Bible means and why others believe what they do. It has helped me understand not only the interpretations, but the histroy given with each section discussed is invaluable in understanding the way the people in the bible saw things. It's an excellent resource, if for nothing else, for the way a church should be run and the role it should serve. If you're wanting to understand better what it is you hear in your research and study.
