You will have a blast!!!,
By
This review is from: Broadway in Concert (Audio CD)
You will have a blast - no doubt about it. The musical selections are from some of the best Broadway shows and Felder and Barbour perform the songs to their full range. The recording is interpersed with the narration of the performer's journeys to their careers as actors and singers. Barbour and Felder have a great sense of humor and it shows. Two crazy guys with a tremendous amount of talent. You will laugh and be thrilled every step of the way on their journey. Watch out - the guys will bring you into their journey as well. At the end of their concert, they have a sing along with the audience and playfully include to two members of the audience in their performance of South Pacific's Some Enchanted Evening. James Barbour and Hershel Felder are hilarious and talented guys and their performance reflects their craziness. This CD will not disapoint. Buy it, Listen to it and laugh with them. Enjoy!

This inspirational show is filled with amazing music with a brilliant singer. James Barbour blows away Josh Groban so for those of you who are fans...try this CD. I love it. I actually saw the show live in Florida!

Broadway at Ease,
This review is from: Broadway in Concert (MP3 Download)
Having only heard James Barbour in roles where acting trumps singing such as in Assassins, it was a pleasure to hear him recently in a A Tale of Two Cities where one can enjoy his splendid baritone. This left me wanting for more, so Broadway in Concert is a first step. The album combines Barbour's lush singing with story telling about his rise to major parts on Broadway. This generally works although the last few humorous tracks divert attention from his voice. Overall an interesting approach.
