This is a marvelous book, full of interviews with the Broadway Elite -both legit and Musical Creators.
Each chapter deals selectively with a combination of writers so information is always varied and subjects range from librettos to the value of criticism. Sondheim offers an essay on the musical theatre. The artists behind West Side Story,Gypsy,Fiddler and Cabaret discuss these classics. Arthur Miller essays playwriting. Everyone from Arthur Laurents to Terrence McNally make a contribution. Excellent!
