Excellent Heater. I installed one in bathroom about 8 years ago. Heater still works great. Thermostat is fairly consistant. Must be cleaned regularly. That is the secret to keeping it working satisfactorily.

Started out by replacing a toilet and ended up with a new floor and a new heater. And other things. The Nautilus was a good style and fit for what I was dealing with. It is quiet and provides more than enough heat for any bathroom. The thermostat works properly and the style is unobstrusive.

It is easy to access the wiring and to take out the innards so that you have access to mount the box in different ways (not all installations are new construction as you may know!). This also makes it easy to service it and I was happy that it came with a parts diagram, always a good sign.

I found it to be a good and thoughtful design for a decent price. It is recommended.

If you are looking for a heater fan unit that replaces your old Broan heater, this is it.
This heater fan is an exact match to its decades old product.
It fit the existing opening within a sixteenth of an inch.
However if you are looking for an improved product, this is not it.
It has the same loud fan noise as the old one.
It will require the same periodic cleaning to keep it running.
It will need to be removed annually to be cleaned and oiled.

For the price it is a good product and will last ten to fifteen years, but if want a quiet heater, pay moe and buy a unit with a better fan.

I purchased this heater for a small rental house, about 1000 square feet. We had to install hard-wired heat to meet code. It was installed in the hallway about a foot off the floor. The tenants remarked that the heater kept the end of the house closest to the heater warm during a 20 degree cold snap. The other end was a little cool, so we are going to install the same type heater at the other end of the house. I am very pleased with the price and performance, so I see more of these heaters in our future.

Exactly what I needed for my bathroom. Previously I had to carry a small heater in the room before showering and this became a hassle in the winter. I did the installation myself without much difficulty. It looks and works great. Here's a tip: check all the cardboard packing or you will not see the metal support brackets.

I have several houses (rentals) and I have this heater in several. They can be wired in 110v or 220v. I would give them 5 stars but they seem to die a bit more frequently than I would like. Of course if someone vacuumed them out to keep hair, dust etc from building up they would probably last longer. Tenants don't care so that does not happen.

I've bought these Broan heaters before. This site had the best price and they shipped it out promptly. I'd do business with them again.

I bought 2 of these units for newly built bathrooms (each about 8x8. I had them professionally installed by my electrician, and put on their own circuits to avoid tripping a breaker.

I am not impressed with these units at all. A quick summary:
Pros:
1. Fit in compact space
2. Relatively quiet
3. Inoffensive aesthetics (it's not ugly)
Cons:
1. No real on/off switch, just a turn dial that goes from "low" to "high". It's also not easy to see how high or low the dial is set as the line on the unit is a barely visible white line the same color as the face plate.
2. Doesn't really provide a significant amount of heat.
3. By far my biggest complaint: an Inconsistent thermostat. My typical use pattern would be to want to turn on the unit prior to showering. This would be to bring a 68F bathroom up a few degrees. However, in my use, even at the highest setting, the unit works for about 2 minutes then shuts off for a number of minutes. It will sporadically cycle back on and off, but it can be on as little as 20 seconds before shutting off again.

I can only assume that either, A) the thermostat on both of my units is defective or B) due to a design flaw, the thermostat is impacted by the ambient temperature of the metal cover. The bottom line is that I have a heater that doesn't produce nearly enough heat, and not for nearly as long as I'd like it to run. Because it can be off so long in between, I sometimes even forget it's "on," and leave it running for hours by accident.
I've removed the face plate to check that nothing was wrong, but couldn't see anything obvious.
