I spent a couple of months researching grills before I decided on the Broil King 70. I wanted a rotisserie and removable or drop shelves, because I have a smaller balcony. This grill fit my needs perfectly!

I only installed one shelf because of size limitations. Assembly was a little awkward, but very straight-forward. The only problem was that about 4 of the screws are in tight places requiring a little wrench acrobatics. I've been cooking on it for a few weeks and it lights effortlessly. The rotisserie works like a dream, cooking a 6lb turkey breast and boneless lamb leg to perfection. I don't think I could get a whole turkey to fit, however.

I'm kicking myself that I wasted 2 months of the summer doing research instead of buying this one right away!

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this grill.I was looking for a heavy duty grill with a rotisserie that didn't have all sorts of fussy extras like side burners that I never use. If you like having the side burner, they do make this model with it as well, I just prefer to have extra 'counter' space, as it were. Wasn't too bad to put together but you need someone to help you flip it over carefully halfway through the process.I got mine together in about an hour and turned it on. It gets over 500F in ten minutes! Great for getting those sear marks.

Also have been thrilled with the rotisserie kit. It really is a heavy duty rod and looks like it can handle anything.So far I've only done a large 6 pound chicken, but it came out beautifully..crisp skin all around and moist and tender inside.

Over all it seems to be very well made and looks like it will give many happy years of service.The cooking grates are super heavy cast iron and need to be seasoned like you would a good cast iron pan...brush with oil well and heat at about 250 for 30 minutes. I also oil it well before each use and have had no problems with things sticking.Its a breeze to clean up so its getting lots of use.Amazon had the best price on this unit and it arrived quickly. What a great way to start the summer!

I purchased this grill after plenty or research. All I can say is the grill is great. Easy to put together and the rotisserie is the icing on the cake. I have already used the rotisserie for a prime rib and it beat all expectations.

Well constructed, goes together easily. Cast iron grates are awesome! Even heat across the entire surface, no hot spots.

In starting this review the assembly was simple [around 20mins]

The grill it self is well constructed, but a cover should be used when not in use.

Cooking on this grill is quite satisfying. The temps are well controlled and if you follow the instruction with a preheat, results are amazing. The rotisserie works great and removal is simple .. Well worth the $$$ since all the SS grills are for show anyway.

I absolutey love this grill lights like a dream,cooks great,love the cast iron grates, rotisserie work like a charm. Plus it doesn't take up a whole lot of space which is a issue with me. Can't say a bad thing about it. It's also rated one of the best grills.Love it!

After doing extensive resesarch on outdoor grills, my husband and i decided to purchase the broil king crown 70. It assembled easily, and everything that we have cooked on it has come out subperb. We recommend this grill to anyone and everyone. It meets and exceeds all, as it is advertised.

Recieved my new grill within a week of ordering. My 11 yr. old son and I put it together in about 1 hr. Very easy instructions. Followed the instructions for prep before grilling. Fired it up that nite and grilled some venison steak tips. Worked very well and tasted great. Looking forward to many more meals and using the rotisserie.

I write my review ONLY to the questions raised by others regarding defected parts and costumer service. This is my first ever Gas Grill [always used regular Weber charcoal], and I have nothing to compare it with. I think it is great, but there are better equipped people out there to judge it. Before buying, I have researched reviews and hoped I will not have to experience the problematic service described in other reviews. That was not to be;

My Crown 90 [same as 70 with a side burner] arrived a few weeks ago, and after very slowly assembling all other parts [and it took me LONG...as I am not one of the more handy out there...], I got to the lid to find out it is chipped in a couple of places - not a big deal, but clearly will attract rust in due time. I called Amazon who can do nothing but replace the whole unit - no fees or anything, but disassembling the one I took a couple of hours assembling, and then assembling the new one - no thanks!!! Amazon can not send you a single part replacement. I called the costumer service of the manufacturer - expecting the worse as I have read previous reviews.

Well, what can I say?! It was not what we are used to, I must admit. There was no apology, no niceties - not a single "we are sorry you are experiencing a problem..." - nothing. BUT...it was not rude! it was matter-of-fact, dry and effective. He asked for photos emailed. Couple of hours after I have sent them, I got a quick, short laconic email promising the replacement - nothing more, nothing less. It took them some time [back ordered] but the grill worked with the chipped lid. Got it today. Not a word attached, but a free set of BBQ tools with it [I guess as an apology]. I guess we are used to different communication with customer service - I know I am - but the part is here and all is well taken care of in an efficient manner even if not the most usual. I personally prefer it that way, rather then the ultra-polite with no results and nothing done [many of these around].

I also researched this grill like alot of reviewers and came away thinking it 'was alot of bang for the buck.' I also read that their customer service left alot to be desired. After owning the grill for 3 months I can say yes on both count's!

There are far more attractive grills that can be found for less money, if you are looking for a showpiece this isn't it. For a grill that comes complete with a rotisserie that heats up too 550 degrees in 5 minutes you cant beat it for under $500 dollars.

THAT BEING SAID

I owned the grill for 2 weeks when it was blown over by a microburst. The handle and one grid were the biggest casualties. I ordered then direct through their customer service dept. After 4 weeks I called and found out that the handle was in but the grid was on back order. I finally received the handle after complaining to a manager but I STILL haven't received the grid!!

I ordered the handle and the grid before Mother's Day and it is now the 1st of July!
