The Char Broil Heatwave Infared cooking system is yet another breakthrough from the grilling minds at Char Broil. The Heatwave system works using two troughs to transfer the radiant heat from the buners to infard heat that cooks your food. The design is a unique, patented system, that provides 100% infared heat. You can use wood chips in the troughs to indirectly cook food or just add smokey flavor and because of the design you don't get flare up and charring. Once again, the infared technology is highly efficient and allows just 3 burners and 35,400 BTUs to provide all of the energy you need with this grill and its 550 sq. in. primary cooking area. A cooking guide is included on the side shelf of the grill to help fully utilize this ground breaking technology and as expected the other shelf features a flush mount sideburner. The Heatwave grill also included integrated electronic ignition, a pull out tank tray, and Char Broil's patented Dual Fuel system for easy conversion to Natural Gas. The cart has a closed look with metallic porcelain top and matching doors. As with all grills, we recommend keeping the firebox clean to help avoid flare up as well as using a grill cover to protect your invesent.

I have a built in outside grill called fire magic that resently cost me close to 500.00 to fix and bring back up to new condition. The problem is that the juices from the meats go past the flavor gates down to the burnners that can cause a plug up. I purchased the Charbroil Heatwave because it caputures the jucies in the bowls that are underneath the porclein cooking crates so no jucies will hit the burner. Great product, and as a bounus the foods cooked on this grill tastes better that the $ 2200.00 fire magic grill. It's a no brainer purchase.Buy it!!!

Great grill. Fair price for the amount of grill you get. Infared grilling is neat, food tastes great. Grill came from [...] via Amazon website. Had a tiny dent in hood and a couple tiny chips in the paint. Called CharBroil and they quickly sent out replacement parts (after I uploaded photos to them online). Never purchased CharBroil products before, I hope it lasts for many years. I would recommend the grill to a friend.

Simply fantastic are two key words that sum up the entire grilling experience wrapped up inside this wonderful outdoor grill. Instead of direct flame rising up to burn and char your grilling, this grill has two troughs that transfer radiant heat to the food on the grill. Incorporating flavor by adding wood chips or wine are super easy and the trough holds the key to loads of flavor. Some of the key product features are:
* Three primary burners and the patented, award-winning, Heatwave Infrared Technology * 13,000 BTU flush lid side burner * Integrated electronic ignition * Pull-out tank tray * Dual Fuel convertible to Natural Gas with the purchase of conversion kit Try as you might you will not get a flare up unless you choose to throw liquid fat into the trough and heat it till smoking. You will need to readjust your cooking skills to complement the new highly efficient infrared grilling technology but in doing so your will be opening a whole new world of flavor.
