A teacher recommended I read Postcards, and I've always wanted to read "Brokeback Mountain," which I knew was a short story. When I saw "Annie Proulx's Brokeback Mountain and Postcards," I assumed it was the novel, which I assumed was short, and the short story published together. No. It's a reading guide, without the text. I realize it says this in the product description, but since I knew I wanted to read both, and the title gives no indication of it being a reading guide, I didn't feel the need to read the description. I was very disappointed, as I'd really been looking forward to reading it.
