3.0 out of 5 stars Same exact book as "Merciless" by Montanari, January 28, 2012
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Broken Angels (Paperback)
I belong to a book club, and several years ago I purchased the hardcover edition of "Merciless" by Richard Montanari, and immediately became a huge fan of his, reading all his books in print up til then at the library, and recently ordering others I had missed on Amazon. This terrific story is exactly duplicated in "Broken Angels," and I must say it is unfair when the publishers reissue a book under a different name. making a person purchase a seemingly new Montanari story that is a reissue. Aside from my disappointment, I would recommend either book as one of Montanari's best, a serial killer story about a young man obsessed with the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen, tracked by Montanari's favorite police partners Balzano and Byrne. It is an original story and because of the fairy tale narrative, not too creepy as some of his others.

again he has written an excellent book, which I call fast reading...I just hope he doesn't change as so many other male authors have done...have read all of his books and not one disappointment..
