5.0 out of 5 stars Biblical Clues to UFO's, December 2, 2007

This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
As a person that is knowledgeable of scriptures, I was incredibly rewarded to read this book and see that it wasn't just myself that saw some scriptures that screamed 'more than your pastor is telling you'. There is such an obvious connection between angels, demons, UFO's, creation, miracles and technology. This is not for the closed minded Bible thumpers, but for those of us that are educated, rational and open to what is actually written in the Bible, not someone's interpretations (usually your parent's or pastor's). Mr Chitty is cautious, careful, specific and thorough in his analysis. This is not a casual read, but an end result of years of research and review, written in an easy to read and laboriously detailed outline of chronological, step by step, events as they are documented in the Bible and other ancient books of reference. These events and descriptions are not hidden, but blatantly clear. Mr Chitty points out things that you always wondered about-- and not just Ezekiel! It hits you to the core when you read this book and see it from an outside point of view, stepping aside of your cloak of religious beliefs. With our current knowledge of ancient religious beliefs and their origins, our historical knowledge of cave paintings, large scale stellar patterns on earth, even medieval tapestries showing UFO's, this book fits perfectly to connect the dots. With today's technology, we are finally able to comprehend and understand what the Bible is really saying. I would challenge anyone to read this book, even if it brings up endless discussions and questions. Most importantly, this book will challenge your core beliefs that have padded our lives with a faith that answers all those unanswerable questions. It provides a logical explanation to what we have glorified and conflicted over for centuries. Mr Chitty made no religious statements, absolutely none. But he sure makes you think about your own. Be prepared to be astounded.

5.0 out of 5 stars Angels or aliens! Were they one and the same?, August 28, 2009
This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
I thoroughly enjoyed Mr. Chitty's book because it lays out in detail how we were manufactured as a species by DNA manipulation and lead toward a civilized existence. It explains how the world was molded into its present form by towing the moon into place and causing the land to be formed. Before that there was only water and a sparse marshland here and there. Then it describes how there was a war in the universe that created a physical being we call Satan and his evil host and how they were cast to Earth and literally took over everything here. They became the gods of old mythology and ruled the nations like Sumeria and Egypt with their high technology and laser weapons. When the evil became so great that it was destroying everything Yahweh (God) and his host of angels returned and brought about the Great Flood to rid the planet of this evil. And they did it by towing the moon away from the Earth and allowing the water to cover everything again. I won't give away too much more here but there is a great deal more in the book. The detailed analysis of the "wheel within a wheel" ufo that Ezekiel saw is fascinating. And the description of the laser weapons and the matter moving devices they used is highly convincing. It explains a lot of things that could not be explained in any other way. Pyramids? Since I was in my teens I have been convinced that there are mysteries that can only be solved by the mountain of evidence found in ancient texts such as the Bible. I read Morris Jessup's book, "The Bible and Flying Saucers" back in the 1960's and that set me to seek out more information on this subject. Sadly, there isn't that much written literature about it. I am truly glad people like John Chitty are researching this topic and presenting it to the public. I wrote Mr. Chitty an email after reading his book asking him if he was going to write any more books like this one. He wrote back that he has indeed written two more books in the "Broken Bible" series. One on the New Testament and one on Revelation, but they are only available as print on demand books. He said he is having trouble getting a publisher with enough courage to print the other two books. Publishers are very conservative folks, I guess. Maybe some day they will publish them. We can only hope.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brilliant Book!, June 11, 2011

I was enthralled with this book from beginning to end. Chitty painstakingly analyzes every aspect of the Biblical, Old Testament "God" and his visits, and tells the true tale of who this visitor really was - and wasn't. I still believe in the Big Guy, but this ain't him, folks. Which makes sense - who would want a God that was as vicious and bloodthirstly and megalomaniacal as the being portrayed in much of the Old Testament? I just wish Chitty would write a sequel!

5.0 out of 5 stars A very very good book, May 15, 2010

This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
I was looking for a book on UFO's and happen to run across this one. The reviews all gave it high marks so I took a chance. I was not disapointed. If you have read the Bible and did not understand some of the thing's that they were talking about. This book could help. I am not saying that the author is correct in his theory, but it is the only one that I have read that make's since. The Author let's you read the verse then explains what he beleaves to be the meaning of that verse. I think it is a very good book.I E-mailed the author wanting to get the other two books.
He said they were on there way. I can't wait. I hope they come real soon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally! Someone actually figured it out., May 27, 2010
This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
Out of all the Books I have read on this subject, this is the only Book that not only makes perfect sense, but actually backs up it Scriptural finding so anyone can check the authors work. Most every Book I have read on this subject goes around and around in circles never arriving anywhere. Whereas, this author actually reveals the HOWS, WHYS, WERE, and WHOS of the matter, and they are consistent.
I was totally stunted at Mr. Chitty's Creation theory and the remarkable Wheels of Ezekiel put forth in this unique Book. However, more importantly was the revealing end of the Book that exposed the UFO enigma and it occupancy for just Who they may actually be, Where they may have come from and How they will be involved with what is about to take place on this Planet. This book is just packed full of extremely detailed information written in a systematic order making it easy to read and understand and hard to deny the obvious years of research (FACTS) Mr. Chitty has put into this Book. All I can say is WOW, this is a must read for Everyone on this Planet.

Don't let the size of this book fool ya! Once you start turning the pages you will be fascinated by this interesting, open, can-this-possibly-be-real? research by author, John Chitty. An interpretation of the Old Testament in a way that I had never imagined it before. You will be drawn in, you will have questions, you will wonder are we ready for the time of our visitation? Better fasten your seatbelts if you're not! This was a great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yahweh is an Extraterrestrial, July 17, 2011

And upon the likeness of the throne the likeness as the appearance of a man upon it.
Ezekiel 1:26

"One element appears certain. Ezekiel was genuinely looking at a tangible chair as well as a real man. Essentially, Ezekiel has now enlightened us to the fact that Yahweh {the living God} was in the physical form of a man."
J. E. Chitty

The first four fifths of this book is easily one of the best UFO books we have ever read. As you know, it takes on the BIG book itself, the Bible. And it attacks it line for line, page by page. Anything that could possibly be a sign of technology is ferreted out and dissected down to the minutest detail. If you think Yahweh is the Supreme Being, creator of the universe and everything in it, then this book is not for you. Though it should be. But if like us, you see signs of weakness in Yahweh throughout the Bible then you should find this one very delicious. That's right, you will eat it up.

It's clear that Yahweh wields some very impressive powers, but he is far from all powerful and he is jealous as hell of other "Gods." And all of this will become clearer to you as you read the book.

The description of how the Earth was "made" is very enlightening. It may change your whole concept of how you've read the beginning of Genesis. Even more fascinating for us was the explanation of the Deluge. Not only how most of the Earth could be covered by water, but where all the water went afterwards. It's one of those "why didn't I think of that?" moments. Of course we don't think that way because we are not thinking of such high levels of technology. But those high levels are not improbable, no matter how fantastic they seem at first read. And they are only fantastic because they are so far in advance of the scientific powers humans can control today. I mean we are talking about a highly advanced extraterrestrial space faring civilization here whose powers may be way beyond our current scientific grasp.

If you are one of us that know that "They" are here now, then the idea that they, or others like them, have been here before, is rather common sense. And by that measure you should enjoy this book immensely. The descriptions of how the saucers actually fly is invaluable and can be related to most every AFV report made today.

If you are wondering about the last fifth of the book, and you have read the other reviews here... well let's just say that it is possible, if hard to digest. But then that is probably why the author has a follow up manuscript, one that he says no one is willing to publish, but one you can receive by email. We look forward to reading it, as I think you will too.

The claim that it took 13 years to write 'The Broken Bible' seems easily substantiated by the amount of thought and detail the author put into each problem that is tackled.

If the idea of Ancient Astronauts intrigues you, then you should enjoy this book. We sure did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Profound and revealing!, August 26, 2005
This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
A totally absorbing and mind expanding experience. Taking you through the Old Testament John Chitty makes his case giving the reader, "a close encounter of the third kind," as the nature, identity and person of Yahweh is revealed. At the end you will say, "yes, how else could it be?" A must read for passage into the Aquarian Age.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absurd analyses of canonical and non-canonical sacred texts using bogus physics, December 30, 2011
This review is from: The Broken Bible: Picking Up the Extraterrestrial Pieces (Paperback)
I received this book as a Christmas gift from a friend who is very interested in UFO phenomena. As a professional space scientist with a PhD in optical physics, I am well aware that our current understanding of the physical world is not complete and undoubtedly in error in some way (only the passage of time will reveal how gross or small those errors are). So I was intrigued to read this book and see if there might be any interesting lines of reasoning from an unorthodox source for things we don't fully understand or perhaps have misinterpreted from the Judeo-Christian tradition. Unfortunately this book could not serve that function for any reader.

I was only able to get through about one third of this book until I came to the conclusion that continued reading of this mash-up of techno-babble and sacred texts would be a tremendous waste of time when perfectly good re-runs of Gilligan's Island, Tom and Jerry or Three's Company are available to be watched. It is clear from the very first pages of this literary travesty that the author lacks the basic understanding of physics that he should have received from a good high school college prep or college freshmen physics class. Right from the start the author shows his total ignorance of physics (classical or otherwise) when he claims that without the Earth's moon, the vast majority of the Earth's landmass would be underwater! Given the layman's general disinterest in mathematics and science I guess this shouldn't be all that surprising but when an author attempts to explain miraculous events with logical and scientific arguments, then the serious reader would expect that the author has the appropriate knowledge and powers of deduction necessary for the task. This one doesn't.

Unfortunately this author's lack of expertise is not limited to the realm of science. Apparently the time he saved by not reading Halliday and Resnick was not spent concentrating on his English studies either. This book is rife with the incorrect use of words and grammar. Incorrect verb tenses are used. Singular and plural verbs are incorrectly interchanged. Incorrect homophones are used (for instance, "forth" instead of "fourth"). One could attribute these mistakes to typos if they weren't repeated over and over again. Reading this book is like reading the ramblings of that weird kid in high school who purports to be smarter than you and your teachers but can't seem to get out of the tenth grade.

The author's lack of command for the English language, his scientific illiteracy and his inability to construct logical arguments all combine to undermine the arguments he attempts to put forth. For the extraordinary claims this book makes, one would expect the presentation of logical and persuasive hypotheses.

Who was the intended audience for this book? For the secular reader, the use of Biblical and non-Biblical sacred texts to prove that ancient astronauts are the progenitors of the human race is akin to using Grimm's fairy tales to prove the existence of elves. For the Jewish or Christian reader, the author's use of non-canonical texts to fill in the details missing from the Bible stories cited only makes his arguments more dubious. And for the scientifically literate reader, religious or otherwise, the author's supposed scientific explanations are so blatantly wrong that they can only be appreciated as good natured jokes.

I have been an Amazon customer for over ten years and have never written a review of any product that Amazon offers. But after reading the first third of this book with the knowledge that my friend had spent his hard earned money on it, I had to express in black and white my utter disgust for this book. If I had the time, I would take this book to Florida and demand a refund from the author for my friend and the 90 minutes I wasted turning one ridiculous page after another. Don't buy this book! If you already have, use it to keep that old table from wobbling; use it to start a nice winter fire; or use it in an emergency if you run out of toilet paper. You will be smarter for it.

I was entertained, which is rather important to me. What I enjoyed the most about this book was how it would look at every single word in the sentence without missing a single one... while at the same time not shoving White LIghter philosphy in your face Good job.
