Broken English is a movie about a woman going through mid life crisis. Scratch Massive created a score full of anxiety, worry, despair and hope. Listen to the opening track, an unnerving start for a journey headed for a breakdown. Even the resolution is full of jabs, noises, as though you cannot really trust it is going to be over. Not a happy listening experience, but the album stands separated from the film as an emotional landscape.

This movie is great. It has a bit of a realistic approach. It can be believable. I used to like "Green Card" similar to this one but very unrealistic. I put "Broken English" in the same category with "Before Sunrise" and "Before Sunset". I love these movies with a European flair and background. Does anyone know the music played during the scene where Nora meets an elderly Frenchman?He gives her mature advice while having a drink in a Parisian hotel bar? I love the piece they play and I don't see it in the soundtrack?
